I don't get offended when Thai people called us Lao Khee Kha Farng, in some way we were under Farang for awhile. On the other hands, currently Thailand is somehow being slave nation to Farang aswell, SEX SLAVES... [color="#FF00FF"][/color]

That's true but that is due to our massive sex industry which generates thousands of dollars and hundreds of jobs. This is because some Thais believe in doing this. Laos on the other hand was directly taken over by the British. I by the way never call a Lao bad names. There is few controversys over the sex industry as no one cares much for it and few oppose it. It is some Thai's way of life. I think its wrong but nothing I can do to change this.

I don't remember that we ever call you (Lao) Lao khee kha farang before.

I never thought Lao Khee khaa farang too.My friend is lao. khon E-sarn kin Pla-ra and Khon lao eat too. Thai called Lao Phee Nong or Pheun Lao because in the history, Prachaiyachettha Thirat is Lao-thai.His mother is thai and his father is lao.And now, some thai ppl have lao wife or lao husband.

Pra Saysetha's mother was ethnic Lao of Lanna. Back in those days Lanna was considered as sister kingdom to Lao of Lanxang not THAI. His haft brother was born from mother of Ayuthaya.
