Why not? I went through the thread, and all the girls were not very pretty at all. Celine is Malaysian American.

I think that Celine really doesn't look like a typical Malaysian Chinese, she has got that American look/vibe already.

I think it's because she lives here. However, ethnically, she is Malaysian Chinese.

She is Chinese Malaysian.

Malaysians are made up of Malays (about 1/2), Chinese (about 1/4), Indians (about 1/10) and other indigenous tribes. Many Chinese Malaysians are in the Chinese Entertainment Industry due to their fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese (Eg. Penny Tai, Fish Leong (Taiwanese Music Industry) but of course, in some cases it is not (Eg. Danielle Graham in the HK Movie Industry. I do not think she can speak Cantonese). They are Malaysians because they are born and brought up in M'sia and in most cases, they are the 3rd / 4th generation of their bloodline.

Hope this clears up some confusion..

Are Arabs common in Malaysia/Indonesia? Have you got anymore photos of Arab-mixed celebrities?

There are a lot of Malays in Malaysia that have Arab blood from their ancestor.
Though I'm not really sure about Indonesia.The reason why there are alot of Malay+Arab mixed in Malaysia is because, back then at the era when Malacca used to be the World trading centre, Many Arab traders married the Malay girls because of the same religion we have. Some sailed back to Arab and some remains living in Malaya..

Nowadays , there are still people in Malaysia use "Sayyid" or "Syed"(for men)and "Syarifah"(for women) in their names to symbolizing their ancestor's honorific name from Arab. eg:male's name "Syed Shariff Alsagof" or for female "Syarifah Heizee Wafa". Some doesn't use it anymore and use the normal Malay names.

Here's another example for Malay+Arab girl .Her name is Syarifah Heizee Wafa.She's not a celebrity.She's just one of my friends..
