I like Naruto, Naruto Shippuuden, Rounini Kenshin and Desu Noto (Death Note).

I do not like Inuyasha or Bleach or Dragon Ball Z or Monster.

Can someone who knows a lot about anime help me find an anime I would like???

The story takes place in the year 1614. Two ninja clans, Tsubagakure of the Iga and Manjidani of Kouga, battle each other to determine which grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu will become the next shogun. The deadly competition between 10 elite ninja from each clan unleashes a centuries-old hatred that threatens to destroy all hope for peace between them.

Gurren Lagann
QUOTE
Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional future in which human beings have been forced under Earth's surface and live in isolated subterranean civilizations. These "villages" have no contact with the surface world or other villages. Because frequent earthquakes damage infrastructure, the villages must constantly extend deeper into the earth — individuals relegated to this task are known as "diggers".

Giha Village is the home of Simon, a fourteen-year-old digger who was orphaned when his parents were killed in an earthquake. Although Simon is respected by the village elders as the best of the diggers, he is ostracized by his peers. Simon discovers a special drill key deep in the ground and is soon recruited by an eccentric fellow orphan named Kamina into his group "The Gurren Brigade". Kamina dreams of the surface world, which he once visited as a child, though he had to return home as he was too weak to survive there.

One piece
QUOTE
A boy named Monkey D. Luffy, inspired by his childhood hero "Red-Haired" Shanks, sets out on a journey to find the legendary One Piece, to become the new Pirate King. To accomplish this, he must reach the end of the most deadly and dangerous ocean: The Grand Line.

Luffy captains the Straw Hat Pirates first through the sea of East Blue and then through the Grand Line. He follows the path of the deceased Pirate King, Gold Roger, from island to island on his way to the great treasure One Piece. On his way his crew grows to have a swordsman, a navigator, a sniper, a cook, a doctor, an archaeologist, a shipwright, and a musician.

During the course of the story, the crew contend with both other less moral pirate crews and the Navy. The latter are the subordinates of the World Government, who apparently seek justice by ending the Golden Age of Pirates. Many background story elements involve the delicate balance of power between the World Government and the world's most powerful pirate crews.

Ergo Proxy
QUOTE
The story begins in a futuristic domed city called Romdo,[1] built to protect its citizens after a global ecological disaster. In this utopia, humans and androids (AutoReivs[1]) coexist with each other peacefully under a total management system. A series of murders committed by berserk robots infected with the Cogito virus begins to jeopardize the delicate balance of the social order. Behind the scenes, the government is conducting secret experiments on a mysterious humanoid lifeform called Proxy, which is believed to hold the key to the survival of mankind.

That's straying quite far from Naruto and Kenshin though....

Full Metal Panic Seasons 1, 1.5 (fumoffu) and 2 (Second Raid) might be good for you.

Certain eps of Gintama might be of interest. There's lot of parody and slap-stick gag in most others though, so pick carefully out of the 300+ episodes.

Story
Toradora!'s story begins with the male protagonist Ryūji Takasu who is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent, so he is utterly hopeless about his chances of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, and does not have many close friends either. After being greeted by his hungover mother in the morning, Ryūji goes to school and is happy to find that he gets to be in the same class with his best friend Yūsaku Kitamura and a girl he has a crush on, Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he unexpectedly knocks into "the school's most dangerous animal of the highest risk level"—Taiga Aisaka—who just happens to also be in his class, and is a good friend of Minori.

Plot
Hyakko takes place in a high school division of Kamizono Academy (上園学園, Kamizono Gakuen?), a fictional gigantic private institution located in Kyūshū, Japan, in which the motto is "to bring up talents of students in all departments and fields". Its storyline focuses on the the comedic school life of the four main heroines, Torako Kageyama, Ayumi Nonomura, Tatsuki Iidzuka, and Suzume Saotome. As the plot progresses, Torako and her friends gradually begin to learn and interact with their classmates in Class 1-6, in which each student has unique and extraordinary personality.
ah high school all over again embarassedlaugh.gif

I like violence and magic powers and like strong heroes, such as Naruto who fights against all odds and persists. Also underdogs, people who are actually superheros but underestimated. Ex, Kenshin the Battosai, kicks everyone' s @$$. My favorite was the season 2 anime arc .

wat? mine was a good pick...it beats both naruto and bleach Talktohand.gif The Gurren Brigade are total underdogs of the whole story!!! icon_wink.gif

Simpsons not anime!!!

Something that deals with themes of friendship?

I was going to recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Gintama, but Gintama's pretty much just hilarity without a real antagonist.
Kayonei
Bleach - if you start watching it you can't stop.
michaelbeckan

Have you tried watching Baccano? It's a series that is easily overlooked but deserves so much praise. If you're into the detective style of anime you'd love this.

But if you want something light and fun then maybe Lucky Star is for you. Depends on your taste really. Personally, I'd like alternating between genres. biggrin.gif
