hahaha, i just put in the three languages representing topics that "we" seem to always find conflicts in in terms of opinions.

Humanda (Filipino) for all the different ethnicities... being look down upon on or exalted depending on who's talking and who's reading....

Aim (English) for all the white/americans/ meztizos that "Filipinos look up to" again depending on who read and who writes...

Fuego (Spanish) for those conquestadores that should have stayed in their shores and not gave us the name based on King Philip nor our faith which alienates us from our pagan brothers and sisters.... yon!

so, no taker here? no camps to bombard each other with word bombs?

COme on you guys! we have a venue to vent our anger and frustrations in here...

Let's leave the other topics/threads to their peaceful and lively exchange... let's get out all our cannons here instead!

casualties please proceed to the infirmary to lick your wounds... ahahaha embarassedlaugh.gif

i like some of the things u are talking about, but i dont know what are u are sayign!!!!!!

there is not order in your post. it looks like a lot of figurative speech!!!! therefore it is unintelligable!
maogmang_aki
Ah! i am saying, if you have a problem with what someone is saying in their post then, clear it with him or her here!

and i wrote it in a lot of "figurative speech" gobledyg@@k coz that's how i write! if it is unintelligble to you, then, i'd say, we are in the same plane! most of what you argue about is also unintelligble to me! biggrin.gif

although i am "protestant" against the name philippines and filipino for us, i am not against the catholic or any religion being practiced by who ever wish to. but we must learn not to be fundamentalist and evangelists who impose our religion upon our brother who does not follow the same faith as us or exactly like us!

we must oust muslim fundamentalist clerics and christian evangelist radicals like 700 club who wish to erase indigenous and pre-islamic/pre-christian identity and replace totally with what they want. christian and muslims eneimies... pegans are "savages" and hopeful converts to add to their armies for the impending religious war!

haha i did figurative speech too icon_neutral.gif
maogmang_aki
I vow to disagree...

what do you mean "oust"? we are in a democracy... with the entailed freedom of speech, religion and such... they want to invite more people (pagan or not) into their fold, let them be. these "fundamentalist" are only doing as their faith dictated (to "lead" people into the "right path", so to speak).

I always say, let the people, pagan or not, decide for themselves if they become afraid of life in hell after death then let them be converted. or if their original faith is good enough for them, let them remain as ethnic or as indigenous or as pagan (whatever the case maybe) as they want.

These indigenous people are old enough and i would like to believe, learned enough to decide for themselves.

(nice try on your figurative speech!) beerchug.gif

no fundamentalist try to destory and replace anything different from their beliefs. they are not democracy friendly, they do not belief in co-existing.
maogmang_aki
And you have the absolute proof for that, eh? can i see?

Yeah right embarassedlaugh.gif , I know you hate catholic filipinos. In fact you probably hate any filipino who doesn't fit your description of what an filipino is supposed to look like. icon_confused.gif

i totally agree, but let me add, the right path is in the eyes and the minds of the individual to the converters and same with the one being converted, or about to. to many the act of converting is not a selfish thing in the eyes of those who do, because in their psyche it is a neccessity. i'm glad you see it that way ate, most people are just so taking the paths of others who see it as a way of destruction and selfishness on the part of those who try.

how's your university?

Isn't that the kind of people you sleep with, you terrorist supporter. I bet your the kind of person who walks in front of the captiol building holding up an "Save the terrorists sign".
dalawapo
maogmang_aki is the one supporting terrorist, not me.

i support muslims, but not fundamentalist islam. are you stupid ejay? i told you this once before, maybe because your a christanized whipped filipino u are too stupid, u require repetative coaxing for you to finally understand? shrug.gif
maogmang_aki
getting personal again here huh, Dalawapo?

when i say let the fundamentalists do as they thought right, it is not an avowal of support to terrorists.

you may be surprised to know that:
A. not all fundamentalists are terrorists; and
B. not all terrorists are fundamentalists.

now let me see where you got your conclusions that fundamentalists = terrorists? George Bush, right? and Colin Powell, right? so who now idolises, licks and kisses the mighty S-es of the white race if not Dalawapo who swallow every lie that the white's newspapers spout?

*sometimes it is too tiring to try to understand a convoluted mind, and i am talking about Dalawapo's here!* embarassedlaugh.gif

Would it make you feel better Dalawapo to classify Christianity as a West Asian religion? Yes, the Spanish gave it to us, but were the Spanish not "converted" as well? Catholicism is dear to so many around the globe, and it is not "white" in origin...does that make you feel better?

About the name. I just recently learned that the country was named after Philip. If people have an issue with this what about calling the country Tagalog? Or would that be unfair to Visayans and Mindinaoans? What about the Confederation of Malay States? That would help people understand where we come from better?!? I guess the PI has many more things to worry about, such as poverty and corrupt government. I do agree with Dalawapos (OMG I actually agree with him) post on the Barongs. He posted a pic of poor Filipinos wearing crappy Western shirts and suggested inexpensive barongs to be distributed. I think a national dress would be better...and I love barongs, I think they are beautiful, but I am sure that Dalawapo would be pissed to learn that they are transparent because they didn't want people sneaking weapons around and the lack of a pocket's purpose was to prevent theft. Also they weren't allowed to tuck in their shirttales as a sign of respect...eeeek. But, everyones history has sadnesses. European countries do, as well.
