Ok i wanna give this new chick that i met near my base a special gift and i'm thinking maybe i would give her a sex kit or mybe and vibrator for our lovemaking and special flowers from a japanese garden like those ichibans thingys and perhaps a special skirt.

But i need to say something romantic and my Japanese is crap so somebody give me suggestions.

u are... A FOOL!!!!
PSP
Why don't you give her a loaded gun, so she can shoot you?
Phil_Huynh
DONT GIVE HER ANYTHING
if u are going to be a solider
she will think u are brave
but if u make her like u
she probaly will
and if u do
you will probaly have to leave where u are right now
cause u are just stationed there for now
and u are not going to stay permentaly
and then if u leave and she still likes you
she will miss you if u have to leave
and might become depressed
and commit suidide because u left her
SO JUST DONT LIKE HER
IF U WANT THE BEST FOR HER!!
Samurai
How about you give her more respectful gifts?
And people wonder why they are single.
QTiceage

Hey, USmarine, although my avitar does not say it I am a USsailor from Yokosuka, and I would say that most of these suggestions that other people say are crap, and they are only saying these things, becuase they are jelous that they are not in japan and will probably will never have a japanese girlfriend, so they honestly do not know how good these people really are to have, I would not suggest a sex kit though, I would suggest mabie a trip to Hokkaido to the onsen (hotsprings) I hear that the best hot springs in japan are in Hokkaido, and as far as the language part goes, I can help you, I have been here for almost 3 years and I have a japanese girlfriend as well, just for ground rules of japanese language I will let you know that the vouls are different then ours, (ex.)
(A) is pronounced like the a in Father
(E) like the e in eggo
(I) like the e in english
(O) like the o in ohio
(U) like the "oo" in loose.
and just another note, the "R's" are pronounced like a d or an l like in the spanish language, so here is just a couple of things that you can tell her.
1. Kirei na hitomi dane (pronounced like) key day na he toe me da neh. which means (you have beautiful eyes).

2. Kirei dayo (you are beautiful) or Irropoi ne ( you are sexy right?)

What are you trying to say with that? Trying to be a little funny or you just don't like Japanese people?

no, I'm not saying I don't like Japanese people
I'm saying you shouldn't discriminate based on race

you should treat a Japanese girl exactly like you'd treat ANY girl
just be yourself, and treat her like your queen
TigerSFA8
Who said anything about discrimination?!? I'm just saying, if you give a japanese girl a gift that is more from the japanese culture, she will notice how you took the time to find out about the japanese culture more, and willing to take it a little further and have her be surprised that you would even know what kinds gifts are given out from Japan. If you are not Japanese, she would just expect a gift what all americans would give out in america, but if you give her a gift from where she grew up, it's more special.

if I went overseas, and someone gave me "something from home," I could just as easily be offended by it, or at the very least, unimpressed
(i.e: maple syrup, totem poles, something with a beaver or maple leaf on it, McDonalds....)

but I see what you mean
and I still say, you should focus more on what she likes, than where she comes from

"hi! uhm, it may not look like it on my picture, but im a 45 year old US Army General, yeah, uhm, so, im like, stationed in japan, yeah. er.. is there any girls her who like er.. 45 year old US Army Generals? if you do, gimme a call aiiight?! word out!!"
