Full Version: I made my own patch ethernet cable just now

Its the one connected to my computer right now, I thought it was easy kind of job to connect jacks. The first jack that I used was a lot harder, strip the cable, untwist and straight and slide the cables in. I made like 2 cable that didnt work (cable diagram was correct). The jacks came with the crimp tool. Then I went to Home Depot to get more jacks, to my surprise, these jacks were different type, it came with 3 part and its a lot easier to work with and it WORK.

Yea it's easy. Done it quite a few.

lol its not supposed to be that hard.

it is actually alot harder to make a serial, parallel or scart cable. most of them uses solder buckets or single crimps.

but as long as you got the right tools, alot of the things is pretty much easy.
