When i was their i saw several plants in jiri san, weed has been grown for hemp for many years in korea.
Also i know that Soma from Soma seeds used a Korean landrace strain known as Korean Big Skunk in many of his crosses.
Grow your own is all i can say from my two months i never seen a fly over and i was their during the early indica season.
Japan has some seed shops i believe and i know for a fact that seedbay.com and seedboutique.com are legit and ship every where.

I remember reading about Korean big skunk in "The big book of Buds." back in 04. They had a really vague background on it.

Yeah soma never released much information or even shared his clone of korean big skunk from what i heard. Lots of controversy following this strain. i read some info on icmag.com/ic about it a while ago i might have to dig it back up.
It is most likely a early flowering sativa in my opinion. but this is just my guess.

We have some fire greens that smash on kush, but its not as hyped as much. The strains these hippies out in the emerald triangle have breed for 40 years. But they dont do marketing like you guys in socal do. No one would pay $75 for a 1/8, and theyd laugh at you for even trying to sell them some kush for 5k+ a lb.


The GDP they got down south aint the real sh!t that we smoke out here. If you ever hit up a club and see something called Kens GDP. Thats the original strain that put it on the map. Kens GDP is almost black and frosted with crystals, and 1 gram stanks so much that it will stink up a whole living room.

Ken is one of the OGs that started this whole medical marijuna thing we have here in cali. Ive met him once, dude is in a wheel chair and is one of the biggest activist in the scene.

Theres only 2 clubs I know of out here that can really rep bay area strains. Ones out in Oakland and the other in Vallejo. Theyve both been raided and reopened up with different names now. But still the same owner and strains.

But you do realize any battle between norcal and socal with bud will just result in food comas.

As for SoCal strains most of em is a Chem Dog cross. Seriously i implore you to try some of our skunks and a regional strain called lemon skunk.

Also i heard its relatively ez to get a medical card i think its done by the county tho so you might have to check with them.

OG kush is not an indigenous strain from socal. Some socal growers got a good pheno and over hyped it and made millions.


Trainwreck, Afghooey, Blue Dot, and a bunch of other popular strains were put on the map by norcal growers. So these little kids saying all we got is purp dont know wtf there talking about.
