hey whats up? all the indonesians i've seen are all dark n when i mean all, i mean the whole football team and seven of my indo friends are dark. a big surprise cause i checked some of the pretty boys here and there all light skinned. where are all the dark indonesian pretty boys?

cuz of colonial mentality...

of course there are alot of dark indonesian pretty boys but not viewed as mainstream...

the mentality of indonesians (and other south-east asians) is: the whiter the better / prettier.

i think, in general indonesians (in indonesia) avoid sunlight, especially celebrities.
btw, a footballteam often trains / plays in daylight right?

^That's why just about everyone on the football team is darker than a typical Indonesian celebrity boy.

Footballers worldwide are celebrities. I wonder, though, how many of them are known by Indonesian girls as "celebrities".

Alot of people are actually darker then they look in those pictures, i dont know about the guys posted above but i know from experiance (from pictures of friends and friends friends) that people go to alot of effort to photoshope their pictures so that they look lighter

I have never really looked at color and only just noticed that people are really fixated on color when they determine how good looking someone is, one darker women that is pretty high on my hot list is alicia keys

Anyway Sid, it is true that some Indonesians prefer whiter skin, thanks to the penjajahan dan sekarang the advertising/media. But other than celebs and girls whos trying to get hookups I do not think that peeps would go the extra miles to adjust their pic's colour values on PS. It might be just lighting or crappy cam/crappy printing.


PS: I do not think this pic is valid . If it was all true, she might be too high to leave home without shaving lol. 2

About the alicia keys pic, i have actually seen that pic before but i think its only pimples, eveyone gets them, even some of the famous celebs though they probably hide it better, have you seen cameron diaz and britany spears, they look awful candid.

But i like alicia keys features, when/if eventually she goes her bad skin days she would look much better. When you see her on TV when you cant see her pimples she looks awesome i reckon.

actually the salary is sh!t my uncle has to get second job teaching piano (he's a musician), he taught piano to dayang sarah, wife of brunei crown-prince al-muhtadee billah.. plus the sultan treat his assistants like slave.. on the second wife, the sultan forced her to move from her own personal palace to a small flat. she used to get enough pocket money to go shopping to paris every month, but now she's down to cooking by herself
