Hi there!
Do you know any good Englsich-spoken-Anime dealing with "serious" topics? I mean no action-Anime with people running, shouting and exploding all the time. Maybe an Anime with a philosphical touch in it. Or Anime which deals with political topics.
Thanks in advance and best regards!

If you want good story, then I would advise to not limit yourself to only Manga. You should read the spawn comics, from Todd McFarlane. Sweet story and not TOO much action.

Spawn is cool yeah, I used to collect them, but Mangas have more dynamic in their pictures.
BTW: I'm not searching for Manga but Anime!

I don't watch anime much but I remember a movie called "Wings of Honneamise"..man that movie was frickin' boring! I watched it all though. The story's setting is Sci-Fi, set in a parallel universe to ours, but it's one of those serious, complex movies with religious tones and stuff which is why it was so boring to me.

I was much younger when I saw it. I think it had something to do with two competing nations in a space race kinda like a fantasy 20th century race between USA and Japan. Well animated and good music.......Definitely for more mature audiences...very slow and deep... kids will find it boring.

There are plenty of non-action anime, including comedy, drama, mystery, romance, sports, etc.
In no particular order, the ones I'd recommend are:
Miyuki
Touch
Kimagure Orange Road
Grave of the Fireflies
Slam Dunk
Initial D
Love Hina
Full Moon wo Saga$hite
Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu
School Rumble
Detective Academy Q
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora
Honey & Clover
Welcome to the NHK
Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
Kanon
Over Drive
Nodame Cantabile
