No religion will work for a person if that person is not spiritual.
Thereby, being spiritual and having faith is the most important.
So, you can do a lot of reading and a lot of obeying, but if you don't have faith, you are in deep $hit.

Excuse my language kababayans, but I thought it could possibly convert some people who finds some truth in informal writing.
Basically what I mean is all hard efforts can be all in vain without faith, and simply, just wasting your time.

God never required us to be perfect and good beyond our limitation, but God ask as our FAITH that matter and bring fruits for Him, He wants us to be saved tru Jesus Christ our Lord and after we got salvation is to be a testimony and good example as a fruit.
Note: That those who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour will be guided by the Holy Spirit and comforted as promise of Lord God to His followers.
James307 u sound like a fruitcake dude; typical closed minded type, do u ever see urself asking, "why?" u should try it, and try having a little faith in urself... instead of putting ur faith onto someone else. Only you can save urself, Not Jesus.
Jesus is not even Divine. Blind faith is dangerous and evil, open ur mind, and be awakened, only the truth will set you free...

There is too much hypocrisy in religion for me to become a believer. I'll adhere to my own personal relationship with God, instead of surround myself by false prophets and puppets who can only regurgitate what they read. Religion has been warped and distorted to the point that I just can't accept.

All of response against me to the message I say… (the Word of God) again are Ignorance and wrong criticism and judgement of some people that moslty guilty and hate the TRUTH!
Why? Some forummer here in the forum were either out of topic (just because they want to make their SELFISH point to be heard) and or posting without thinking just to participate on the topic/discussion.
How sad na maraming IPOKRITO at mga NAGMAMAGALING dito dahil sa ang tataas ng pride nila at dahil sa crabmentality nila.
“I don’t make myself clean and good enough to say this things but it shows na may mga pinoy na KRISTIANO DAW or kung hindi man na nagsasalita base lang sa kanilang own knowledge na BALUKTOT AT MAHILIG MAGPALUSOT…”

Divine spark is in each in every one of us. Christhood and Buddhahood can be achieved by everyone but not without undergoing various trials. Happy is the man who can achieve Perfection, Union with the Divine in just one incarnation. Many ascended masters in various cultures and history, have lived many past lives before achieving what we called Cosmic Consciousness, even the man Gautama and the one we called Jesus. Jesus is a Man. But Christ the office occupied by Jesus is of the Divine. Jesus has achived perfect union with the Divine. Therefore, he is both a Man and a God.

What? seriously? are you even reading what your said to me? your asking me to be respectful but yet your very disrespectful to me from your first post. your chastising me because i don't believe in god or even have one to believe? Like I'm guilty of SIN. so every Catholic of you. HOW VERY MATURE OF YOU! how old are you?
do you think i came to this decision without first weighing my options? i grew up in a Catholic house hold. i live in the USA. by the end of my of high school I started to question it. at the end of 2nd year college I completely abandoned it. 4 years ago I denounce it because i found nothing in it when i completely dove into Filipino history.
I didnt come in here to change anyones mind just stated that it be better else where since others participated. what hard about that you couldn't comprehend?

to continue on the discussion this is the update: Salvation by Grace of God.
Eph 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
The Word of God gives the assurance that Christians [those who are saved by grace through faith] are accepted in the Beloved [the Lord Jesus Christ].
What does verse 6/ God's Word say above? He has made us ACCEPTED in the Beloved. "Us" here refers to Christians/saved by grace through faith people.
Note: If you are going to put forward the argument that I did not continue to verse 10 in my quote of Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8, let me tell you that verse 10 does not say that Christians are saved BY good works. Verse 10 says that they are saved FOR or UNTO good works.
Verse 8 speaks of the BASIS [grace] of salvation and it also talks about the MEANS [faith] of salvation. While verse 10 speaks of the PURPOSE [unto good works or for good works] of salvation.
Sinners are saved BY grace THROUGH faith.......FOR or UNTO good works. Good works are the result of being saved by grace through faith. Not the cause of being saved.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
"To those who believe in His name" in the Greek is an explanation of the first part of the verse: "...as many as recieved Him...."
How can one recieve the Lord Jesus Christ? By faith. One recieves Christ by faith. By the same means, the heart becomes the home of Christ by faith:
Eph 3:17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
A sinner recieves salvation by faith. The heart of the saved sinner becomes the home of Christ by faith. Faith opens the door for Christ to come in one's life. Faith opens the doors inside the home for Christ to dwell in. Every area of one's life Christ is there by faith.
Mr 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Ac 26:18 'to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'

QUOTE (Schwartz)
But the Spanish were not only interested in educating their own, so they instituted separate schools to educate the Filipinos. The purpose of the Catechism Schools was not to provide Filipinos an avenue of upward social mobility, but rather disseminate "colonial-Hispanic-Catholic" values.
....But the Filipino tired of Spanish racism. Alzona (1932:168) was convinced the objective of Spanish education was to make Filipinos "the passive, servile and blind servants of the friars."
the Arena published 1902
about the year 1965 Philip II., then king of Spain, was engaged in fighting Protestantism with weapons of Inquisition, and though relentless against his fellow Christians, he was mild and paternal in his treatment of the Filipinos. He ordered that they be kept ignorance of Europe's religious wars, and directed that if the Church wished to convert them is must do so by kindness and not by fear.
the abuse at last grew so flagrant that the government tried in a measure to stop it by founding the Royal University... The friars united in opposing the scheme as hostile to the Church, and their combined influence was so powerful that even the government could not withstand it and the college was closed.

Why Rizal didn’t get his wish

NATIONAL Historical Institute Chair Ambeth Ocampo was quoted by the Inquirer (12/30/09) as having remarked in a recent lecture that Rizal’s wish on how he was to be buried was never fulfilled.
That is true, but Ocampo did not explain why. Unless this is explained, the impression could be made that his family was responsible for it, a family that was totally devoted to Rizal.
According to National Artist Carlos Quirino, in his biography of Rizal titled “The Great Malayan,” “The corpse of Rizal remained in the Luneta for about twenty minutes before the Brothers of Charity trundled it off in a cart to the Paco cemetery where it was buried [in an unmarked grave].” No member of Rizal’s big family witnessed the execution as they were in their homes “under the surveillance of armed guards.”
Jose Baron-Fernandez, a Spanish historian, wrote in his book, “Jose Rizal, Filipino Doctor and Patriot”: “The body of Rizal was placed in a van and with the greatest secrecy buried in the old and unused Paco cemetery. Teodora [Rizal’s mother] wanted to comply with the last wish of her son, i.e., that the family should take charge of his cadaver.” Hours after Rizal’s execution, his sister, Narcisa, went to all the cemeteries in Manila to search for her brother’s grave in vain.
“On the way back, she saw through the open gate of the Paco cemetery some guardia civiles [civil guards]. This gave her a clue. She entered the cemetery and after much searching found a grave with freshly turned earth. She gave the gravedigger a tip and placed a plaque with the initials of her brother in reverse, R.P.J., that is Rizal, Protacio Jose.” This was to mislead the authorities who might remove his remains to another site.
Two years later, in August 1898, a few days after the Americans took Manila, Narcisa obtained permission to exhume his body. Biographer Austin Coates in “Rizal – Filipino Nationalist and Patriot,” wrote that Rizal’s body was immediately identified through his tattered shoes and clothes, and that the body was buried “uncoffined,” meaning it was not even placed in a casket.
The Catholic Church, which claimed that Rizal had retracted his writings criticizing the Church, did not say Mass for the hero who had studied at the Ateneo, the Jesuit school. This was one of the reasons cited by Coates and others who disbelieve the claim that Rizal had retracted. For if Rizal had really died in the bosom of the Church, as claimed, he would have been accorded the Catholic burial rites due a prodigal son. Coates also observed that the alleged letter of retraction was not signed by Rizal but was a forgery.

JESUS SAVES
We have heard the joyful sound: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land, climb the mountains, cross the waves;
Onward! ’tis our Lord’s command; Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Waft it on the rolling tide: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Tell to sinners far and wide: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Sing, you islands of the sea; echo back, you ocean caves;
Earth shall keep her jubilee: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Sing above the battle strife: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
By His death and endless life Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout it brightly through the gloom, when the heart for mercy craves;
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Give the winds a mighty voice: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Let the nations now rejoice: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout salvation full and free; highest hills and deepest caves;
This our song of victory: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
