Full Version: dosbox can't open my file directory

I downloaded dos box today, and an old game I haven't played in 11 years called Dinopark Tycoon. You've probably heard of it. God, I love this game. So nostalgic. Anyway, back to the situation at hand. I followed the commands: made a folder for the game and named it "oldgames", opened dos box, typed "mount c c:\oldgames", then "c:\", then, "cd dinopark tycoon". However, I got a msg that said that the name was longer than 8 characters and wouldn't work or something like that. So naturally, I went and changed the name of the folder name from "dinopark tycoon" to simply "DPT". However, when I went back to the cmd box, and typed "cd DPT" I got another msg, this time reading, "unable to change to: DPT".

So my question is, how can I get dos box to open my directory? The original name was too long, and it won't let me use the new one, so what is there to do?

Edit: Nevermind. I just changed the name to "DINOPA~1" and everything worked out fine. But now I have no sound/music. -_-

Holy $hit! DINOPARK TYCOON!!! That game hasn't crossed my mind in years!

Tell me...how do you get it?!?!?!?! We can see who will build the most badass park!

I remember a park that students from last year didn't delete from the computer that already had almost everything, so I saved it as my name and built on it some more, and everyone was like, DAMN!!

Did you ever play Oregon Trail?

I just downloaded it from the link in the description.

And yes, I played Oregon Trail in the first and second grades, but I've had no luck finding it free online. Most of the sites that have it ask for your name, birthday, address, etc for membership. I don't trust them. I've also been searching for Super Munchers and Troggle Trouble. I haven't played any of these games in ages.
