Hi, I'm a law student, and I need to do a case study on Korean students who study english in the Philippines for a case project. I just wanted to ask any Korean student in the Philippines or anyone who personally knows any Korean students in the Philippines:

1) Why did you choose the Philippines to study english?
2) When you first came to the Philippines, what were you expecting or what did you want to get the most out of your experience here (other than to learn English, that is).
3) How has it been so far? What do you like best about it? What do you like least about it?
4) What has been your impression of the Philippines and the Filipinos in general?
5) How long have you been here?
6) Do you mingle with Filipinos, or do you generally hang out wiht fellow Koreans?

That's it for now. Thanks! icon_smile.gif

I think Korean students are outnumbered by plain Korean tourists. I see more and more older generation Koreans and their families roam around. I could tell it's hard for many of them to get around because not very many could speak English. Since the government is promoting tourism vigorously, I think it should put signs and directions in Korean alphabet specially in places frequented by Korean tourists.

The Koreans will surpass the Chinese population here in the Philippines someday. In the village where my mother lives the neighbors are already mostly Koreans.

Bah. I dont think we need 10000000000 more Asian immigrants or tourists. Instead we need more diversity & more tourists from other places of origins. Indian, Russian & German tourists for example.

Also, I for one would love it if our Latin American sisters would visit us or migrate here just like what they did during the years of the Galleon trade since the Hispanicism in us are irreversibly being diluted by the encroaching growth of the pure Negrito & Malay population & the march of history. Added by the unmitigated illegal immigration of the Chinese & Indonesians plus the flood of Koreans in here. If only to add diversity to the nation. Lest we become a province of China or Indonesia because of the sheer numbers of their migrants here. bawling.gif

Ironically, the original "Tatlong Bituin Isang Araw" you're flying there was sewn in Hongkong. I hope Caucasians don't find the Philippines attractive to visit. I don't want them coming. Asians are welcome.

I want the Irian Jayas of Indonesia to visit the Philippines
