With the determination of the Lao People under one purpose to pursue freedom and national independence, they finally rid themselves from thieves and foreign domination that were making slaves out them.

Freedom for the new Independent Lao had come at a large cost. The thieves in the U.S. had murdered thousands of Lao people and dropped over a million bombs, which destroy almost everything in Laos. Lao became the most bombed country in the world.

Pathet Lao(The Country of Lao) revolutionaries came to power on December 2nd, 1975. The thieves and those that aided them against the country escaped to other countries to avoid crime against humanity and treason charges.

They established the Lao Democratic Republic (LPDR).

The 622-year-old absolute monarchy was abolished at the end of the Revolutionary War in 1975.

The Lao King, Queen, and their Crown Prince who had been acting as the thieves in the U.S. and France's puppet figureheads were captured. Instead of punishing them, they were force to learn from their mistakes. They resisted and died from harsh condition in Northern Laos.

The great Touby Lyfoung died the same way. It is said he spent his final days in a re-education camp everyday laughing, cursing, mocking the revolutionaries.

It might sound better for you should you refer to them as imperialist dogs rather than thieves. laugh.gif

I don't really have a side, just a victim of circumstance really laugh.gif But I guess i'm in the "thieves" boat. They were progressive thinking in their own ways and we ended up here as a result.

Hmoob Historian, would you plan to move back to Laos and help build the nation or something? Or maybe work towards negotiating a solution to the Hmong problems in Laos such as whitewater and what goes on in the special zones etc?

You are wrong. Many Americans are progressive thinkers, but to say that the thieves elements of the American people are progressive think is just plain wrong. They did nothing but enslave people, oppress women, commit genocide, creat wars, and when they no longer able to do that to Americans, they carry out their same old killing and robbing habits against weaker nations. I am with the Americans, but not the thieves elements. We end up here in the U.S. becaus thank God many Americans have conscience. Vang Pao rather have us stock in the Jungle so that he can make a career out of us.

Of course we should go to Laos to try to help with the education, but not when Vang Pao is still trying to represent us Hmong and continue to demonizing the people who have to suffer so much to get the thieves out of Laos. The Solution to the Hmong problems in Whitewater had to be solve in Washingtion D.C. All we got to do is to get the American people for pay for their crimes and take all Hmong people to the U.S. and stop allowing Vang Pao to accuse of those Hmong of being some types of "communists" that deserve to die there. These people in whitewater are innocent. Some may have been tricked to kill their own, but they are still innocent.

To start a negotiatin, Vang Pao had to be dead first because negotiation is never something he wanted to do. Get peace in Paos is the end of his career, and it don't seem like he want to end it anytime soon.

getting the white americans/patriots to pay for their mistakes will not be anytime soon. for one, white american rulings almost always never admit to anything wrong in their doings. second, it is another debt on top of all the other debts america faces and the white american rulings are acting in ways by conning to bail out of it. hint: think of ways in terms of economy, politics and military power.

what's really wrong is this, there are some well situated hmong communities and individuals that are not doing much of anything to help. hint: those that talk big and flaunts big words.

secondly, america is a country of gangsters. hint: "american gangster" (the movie) simply portrays the american image and strife from one of its roots/background. "con artists" is a common label against (white) americans.

and, when you really look at america and its lifestyle, you get this:
1. fat, rich ppl that don't do much of anything
2. institutionalism that provides support in access of government aid to those that have jobs (for example PT employment qualifies for food stamps). provide jobs to the incapable, criminal offenders, and handicap.

the list doesn't end here

Are you from the USA? Tell us more about yourself. If you are, are you just saying or do you plan to renounce your citizenship and go "back" to Laos to rebuild the country someday? Just asking man! laugh.gif

I'm a citizen of the USA, and I'm glad they did take us in. And would fight to protect the US no questions asked.
That being said I think that our forefathers did fight for the wrong cause and I'm sure most of the Hmong populations with me on this. What is done is done, Laos is not ours to take back, as we were guest there to begin with as we still are now. I'm thankful for that. We always argue about who's at fault, who's to lead etc. etc. typical hmong thing I know I'm one. If there are Non-hmongs out there helping those left behind with no second thoughts then why can't we help ourselves out. I mean when was the last time you heard Loa Family or 18 txeen hmong do a Shoe drive, or School supply drive, to send to those in need. These are little stuff to us but to them it could mean all lot. I know people CLAIM to collect money to help those left behind.... But do we truly know they get the money. In stead of raising Army's to Fight a war, Why not an Army of Volunteers to help out with the education, the heath problem the Structural support to build a society so they can be self sufficient for a better future. As we all know even here and Education goes a long way tho it took most of us a long time to figure even that out. We now have Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, teachers etc. etc.. you name it we have it.. heck even knowing how to speak English is a skill worth volunteering for to us that's not a skill but to them it could be the different if finding an opportunity or not, as there economy strive to grow. That's how Vietnam, Japan, Korea, and even China is able to do this.... by the support of the counterparts living in the abroad. And don't let me get going on the how the Hmong 'Guys" are helping out.... Most of them should be castrated.... Yes they even mean some off my Relations.

They resisted and died from harsh condition in Northern Laos.

so whats ur point again? U dont know anything about the Lao ppl and what we went through dude, as u said, ur ppl were guess in our country, show some respect.

lets make some things clear, so there will not be any miss infomation. The US only bomb the mountinous regions of Laos were the population was very small. All the major cities of Laos were untouched.

And the only reason why the US was bombing Laos was because of the illegal entry and invasion of North Vietnamese troops in Laos. If the Northern Vietnamese troops did not enter Laos, not one bomb would of been dropped on Laos. If there were No North Vietnamese troops invading Laotian territory then the Hmongs would of had no reason to fight.

Second, Laos was NOT an absolute Monarchy, It was a constitutional Monarchy. The Prime Ministor was elected into office. Laos was a fully independent Country by 1950. The King was not captured, he could of left Laos if he wanted to, but he said if he were to die, he will die with his ppl in his land.

dude, U No Nothing about what happened in Laos, i can go on about the many things u said that make absolutely NO sense, everything u said lack facts. Stop guessing and speculating.

Hmong people were not quest in Laos. We are one of the Lao people. I know those Lao people who were loyal to the royal government and other thieves puppet government hated us Hmong and often call us "meo" or barbarian". This is the reason why many Hmong were willing to fight for the revolutionaries in order to change that old brutal past despite the thieves from the U.S. pour of cash and bribes to get us to kill the Lao people for them.

The whole Indo-China nations including Laos and Vietnam were trying to mobilize in order to confront a common superior military enemy made up of thieves and killers determine to hold all Indo-China nation as mafia control states run by the same old puppet figurehead the way it was since 1893.

The thieves in the U.S. and France pretended to give Lao independence and claimed that it was democracy in 1950, but it was part of their propaganda to hold onto Laos against a much more disciplince revolutionary force that had already dominate the country by that time. Before that the King was a dictator and its strings was pull by thieves in France.

Had the thieves from the U.S. not enter Laos, many lives would have been saved and the country would becomes prosperous much sooner.

The King of Laos was captured, but I respect his bravery for giving himself up in order to save countless lives. Unlike Vang Pao, who escaped to save his own skins leaving many of his follower with miseries and deaths, the King bravely paid for his crimes.

Yes, I am from Plover, WI. Personally I think all citizens of the world have the right to claim the U.S. as their own including us Hmong. The reason is because the thieves who came from the U.S. had destroy so much around the world including Laos and had not pay for any of the damages. If we can't built democracy in Laos and we should come to the U.S. to control the thieves here in order to prevent them from robbing Laos again.

Remember, the U.S. was not built with all these freedom, rights, and other good things you and I enjoy today. It was built on genocide, rapes, torture, robbery, human right violation, and racial discriminations. The U.S. was made better by people around the world like you and me who help rewrite the constitution and provide Americans with civil rights and human rights. If we stay here and help prevent the thieves elements of the American people from attacking Laos again through lies and propaganda, Laos will have a better chance to rebuilt their country. If they can't create their own economy by themselves, than they don't deserve a country.
