I've been reading a lot about what people think should be done about the situation in Cambodia. I'm here to ask the how. Its obvious there are many things wrong with the country but where do WE start? Do I write a letter to some US congressman begging, pleading, crying for his help? Do I accept that the country is "doing well" and hope that things will get better from there? Do I wait for a new leader, someone who cares to step in and clean up the mess with a vision and resolve that will actually get something done? Who knows. Better question is who cares? I wish I could say I care enough for all the people there to do something. But there are too many questions, too many road blocks, too many struggles that can get in the way. I wish I had an answer, but all I have are questions.
The obvious. There are some obvious things that anyone can see are wrong with the country.
Leadership(or lack there of) who cares about nothing more than his own pockets and well being rather than making changes for HIS country. The fact there there seems no end in sight for this type of leadership.
Education of the people that EMPOWERS them to create the changes for themselves. But who will educate the people if the government won't.
Firesale of the country. Soon Japan, South Korea, and Europe will own more of Cambodia than Cambodians do.
Lack of a Global Economic power.
Seems like Cambodia is f***ed.
