There are two or three Peranakan tailor/shops at Joo Chiat complex, geylang second floor. you need to walk around to find them but it is easy to spot them cause they are the only ones that hang kebaya in their shops. However as Hari Raya is approaching, they will be very busy and some tailors there dislike Chinese customers as they find them too fussy. Hence they will find some excuses not to tailor for you. For example telling you tailoring will take 3 months.
Alternatively why dun you consider getting those ready made kebaya tops and wear with contemporary tight skirt with a spaghetti top. You can pair them with kebaya dress as well and you can ask them how to get a nice combination.
Price range from a tailed kebaya is from S$250 - S$400
