Kebaya so popular.You will see in Various country.In Cambodia, you will see it too.Cambodia style is quite different but similar to it.Especially the central of blouse decoration.Original Kebeya has only long arm but cambodia has various of style let see compare between original to the new ones.

u need to post it in indonesia chat, cause kebaya is from indonesia. the meaning itself derived from javanesse laguange (the biggest tribe in indonesia). If u want to see modern kebaya just google on Anne Avantie, she's pioneer in modern kebaya after that the rest of the followed her. biggthumpup.gif

There are two or three Peranakan tailor/shops at Joo Chiat complex, geylang second floor. you need to walk around to find them but it is easy to spot them cause they are the only ones that hang kebaya in their shops. However as Hari Raya is approaching, they will be very busy and some tailors there dislike Chinese customers as they find them too fussy. Hence they will find some excuses not to tailor for you. For example telling you tailoring will take 3 months.

Alternatively why dun you consider getting those ready made kebaya tops and wear with contemporary tight skirt with a spaghetti top. You can pair them with kebaya dress as well and you can ask them how to get a nice combination.

Price range from a tailed kebaya is from S$250 - S$400

Haha Kebaya...I missed those days where pancake faces wasn't taking our peranakan kebayas and wearing them. Now is OMG...*Facepalm*
