Please add a reply to submit your artist. I'll only accept one submission for each Asian country (except if your country consists of multiple languages/ethnicities). The song(s) must be in the native language (a few English words are fine). I'll update this post to reflect any new submissions. Please, no trolling! Just showcasing the Asian dance music scene, since I'm curious to see what other Asian countries are listening to. Now let's get started.

I don't want to turn this into a political thread, but I would like to say that for some reason I'm still not used to it when I hear the Thais in Esarn mixing in Lao words with the Central Thai language.

It's going to take me awhile until I get used to hearing both the Thai word for you ,"Tur", and the Lao word for no, "Bau", in the same song lyrics...hehe!

There's a Lao song just like that. I wonder if Lao copied it from Cambodia or Cambodia copied it from Lao?

Overdance came out in 2004 so I'm sure they are the original
because the song is called Mr. Hinsome 2 and the beat is the same from Mr. Hinsome 1
indee records would not copy as far as i know

That song was originally from a Lao group called Overdance, but I'll add the Khmer version of the song anyway. But if there's another Khmer dance song, then please submit that one instead. Thanks for your submission.

That's what I figured. I heard that same song a few years back and it sounded familiar. What other Lao songs have the Khmer copied from us? I don't see nothing wrong it as long as the original artist get credit for it.

Well I don't think you should turn this thread into a Lao vs Khmer thread. I don't think they "copied" from us per say, but that they were given permission to use the song to promote the Axe product. That song was used to introduce Axe Vice to Laos. So I'm assuming that when it was time to promote Axe in Cambodia, they decided to use the same song from the Laos promotion, but in the Khmer language of course. The original song is called "Mr. Hinsom 2", an Overdance song, but I believe Princess did the vocals for it as well.

It's not a big deal...I appreciate your submission anyway...at least you're contributing to this thread by submitting something. hehe

Here's the original Lao version called "Mr. Hinsom 2":

Music is music, bro. So its all good. People copy each other all the time. As long credit is given, its all good.

Thanks, but it sounds like it should belong in the Rap music thread. But I'll use this submission anyway.

I guess there's not a lot of "dance" songs (i.e. trance, techno, etc...) in Asia. The closest thing to "dance" music in SE Asia is either rap music or traditional folk music.

^Cool... Lao sounds more pleasant to the ear than Thai imo.
What's the song about? Is it really about axe/lynx? the song has a nice vibe icon_smile.gif the lyrics must be bollocks lol

Indo:
Pasto - Player
Overload Romance - Semua tentangmu
I dunno though, those two sounds more house to me.
I don't know any dance songs in Indonesian. Mostly they are in English:
Sparkling Saint - Be mine
House of Voodoos - Shadows
DJ Riri - Endless Rue
Dance just ain't my thing!
Majapahitans
Ups... hehe I don't pay attention its "dance"
Ralf
Savan does this Indonesian song by Mulan Jameela and friends qualify for your topic ?

haha it's silly, but yeah the song is really about Axe and how any man can become irresistable and charming to women with the help of the scent called "Chocolate Boy"...LOL! I don't know why they decided to promote Axe, but oh well...the song makes me want to get up and dance! hehe

And oh, I'll accept any dance song that uses a lot of electronic instruments. "Dance" music is a very generic category anyway, just like "Pop" music.

Most definitely. The introduction had elements of rock music, but overall the song is definitely a dance song. It also sounds hot and I love the video production as well.

hehe that's true, but I did say "sounds more like" dance music regarding that last submission. =)

I guess dance (or trance) music isn't that popular in Asia??? So for this thread, any type of music that involves "dancing" and the use of electronic instruments will be accepted. LOL!

I forgot to reply to your comment...it's okay to submit more than one song since we're all interested in hearing various songs from various countries, but I'll only use one song (maybe two depending on the dialect) per country in my original post. Thanks again to everyone for submitting songs.

With that said, we still need submissions from the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, etc...
