Please add a reply to submit your artist. I'll only accept one submission for each Asian country (except if your country consists of multiple languages/ethnicities). The song(s) must be in the native language (a few English words are fine). I'll update this post to reflect any new submissions. Please, no trolling! Just showcasing Asian love songs, since I'm curious to see what other Asian countries are listening to. Now let's get started.

I don't usually listen to Taiwanese/Chinese music so I can't really compare Jay Chou to other Chinese/Taiwanese artists, but I will say that this Jay Chou guy is really talented! His singing, music production, and video quality are all top-notch. If only I could understand what he's singing about...hehe. What does he mean by "Snow Like Hair"? Anyway, this song sounds really nice. Good job, Taiwan!

In Taiwan, do they speak Cantonese or Mandarin? Or is it a separate Taiwanese dialect?

i think hes def at the top. i mean of course there are lots of good songs but jay chou does everything. he even directed his own movie and acted as the main character (movie was called secret).

umm...i think he means the girls hair flows like snow falling to him....

taiwan speaks mandarin. well most of it does. that was my biggest problem LOL. i wasnt sure which one is mainland which one is taiwan...most songs would be taiwan though i think. their music scene is more developed than mainland chinas.

Can someone please post the lyrics with translations please? I'm not Indonesian, but I'd like to try and sing this song for the fun of it. It's a great song.

This can also fall under the rap category. The singer has a beautiful voice in this one.

Wow.. can't believe you like it! thanks all!
@ Savan: The lyrics of the song is written in the infobox on that youtube page.
Translation:
Is this all a play
after all this time together?
Is this the end of a love story
that I'm always proud of?
In front of them
I don't know where
to hide the shame, ooo

Now I have to spend
my lonely days without you again.
Let me stand now
against time
to forget about you.
Eventhough my heart is aching
I will survive.

It's sooo cheesy. Maybe you should check his other song out called Kasih Putih. It's a less r&b flavored track.
I have no idea why we don't go further abroad than just Malaysia & Singapore to promote our music.

@Mushrooms: If you normally don't listen to r&b then maybe you'll like this one better: Nidji - Bila aku jatuh cinta (Just don't search for the english version of it! reason enough for them to sing in Indonesian only haha)

Not gonna post other Indonesian songs anymore icon_smile.gif I don't wanna overflow Savan's topic with Indonesian songs..

@Jeirin. When you make a post, click on the 'insert link' button and paste the URL of the video and that's it!
---

I think Snow like hair is one of Jay's best love songs (his debut song too of course) I love his music a lot! Too bad I can't understand him either icon_sad.gif

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwsx_u50UNg...feature=related
