CONTACT is reprinting herein its nearly threeyear-
old article that resulted from the “Due
Diligence” performed by Global Alliance
Investment Association during 2002 and 2003 as
an “update” to a story that could very well impact
the economic system of the whole planet.
The original story will be presented “as is”; the
“players” in the current situation more
authentically identified; and additional information
is presented.
At the time of the first publication there was
some doubt as to whether some or all of the Royal
Family gold might have been removed. While still
officially unconfirmed, there is now very strong
evidence that all, or most, of the gold is intact. The
Don Esteban Benitez Tallano & Don Gregorio
Madrigal Acop Foundation, Inc. has given notice
to the government of the termination of the lease
and of its intent to take possession of its gold.

THE WEALTHIEST NATION ON EARTH?

What other Nation has 400,000 metric tons of goldin its vaults? What other Nation has more energy
(clean hydrogen from deuterium [“heavy water”])
under its seas than could be available from all of the
hydrocarbons (including coal)
in all of the rest of the world?
Most of “history”, as we get to see it published,
has suffered some interpretation, stylizing, modernizing,
and even outright “revision”. What the reader is about
to find is a mode of history that has suffered no
change, even though preserving it has cost many lives
while those seeking to change (or hide) it have made
themselves rich and powerful.
The Philippines uses the “Torrens title system” for
registering titles to land. In this system, the Original
Certificate of Title (OCT No. T-01-4) applies to the
whole archipelago and Transfer Certificates of Title
(TCT) subtract a given, surveyed and described parcel
from the OCT. The record of such a transaction is
written as an “annotation” on the reverse of the DEED,
or an attached parchment. These annotations plus the
court orders, writs, and decisions tell a real history, even
if unromantic in spots. We hope you enjoy reading it as
much as we enjoyed getting it together.

Tons of Gold? When can this hallucinations cease. Please stop sniffing that rugby.

Wealth derived from mineral resources is embarrassing. Nations, like people, can become very rich out of scratch.

It's how we make it.

well, I've mentioned once before-- I met people in London who was once summoned by Imelda to sell her gold stash...lol & she couldn't unload it ironically.

but this is what people don't realize-- THE BIGGEST GOLD TREASURE IN THE WORLD cannot be bartered in todays' gold market.. just like diamonds that's heavily controlled as far as what's available in the world market-- so not to devalue it's worth?? more so with gold..
every gold bar available in the world today-- are numbered, marked.. etc.. & particularly graded..just like bonds.

gold from centuries ago are different compared to quality & grade available today..

most one can do with ancient gold is make personal jewelry with it, or display it in a museum.

why sell, when you can have a gold backed currency? Ochos de reales anybody? Silver pesos were the currency around the Pacific once... laugh.gif

Why do many Swiss Bank Accounts store gold not money?

The United States is still no.1 in Gold Reserves and the Philippines is no. 25 which is not bad and it does not yet include the Yama$hita Gold and the Marcos' Gold.

paper money has to be backed by gold reserves. that's the way-- a country's currency is stabilised. the gold market is so regulised.. why, with this gold Marcos got-- he cannot do anything with it-- as he couldn't flood the market with it. they knew the source- why I just laughed when I met different people summoned by Imelda-- as she was trying to sell it to no avail-- evenutually, she was giving those bars as party favours.. one jet setter qupipped-- it makes a great door stopper..

same thing is done with diamonds.. silver, tin.. otherwise, if there's so much flooding the open market the price will fall.

I do believe that the Philippines is rich but not in wealth but in natural resources. There is a saying that if you get trap in an Island you will survive as long as there is coconut and the Philippines have lots of them were you can make it food, juice, bio fuel, vinegar, furniture, etc...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coconut

Other natural resources the Philippines is rich in is Aquaculture, Agriculture, Oil, Natural Gas, Geothermal, etc... so the Philippines is actually self reliant.

Portion of Pasay City Court Document on Philippine Gold

That the Reverend Father also admitted that the only gold bullion balance left in the Central Bank vaults are consisting of 400,000 metric tons; others, some 217,500 metric tons between 1965 to 1970 were illegally melted into another form of 75 kilos per bar and were transported to different countries in Red China, Hongkong, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, U.S.A., and in England;

Here is the excerpt from the testimonies of Reverent Father Jose Antonio Diaz, alias Col. Severino Sta. Romana, taken in an open court room on 10:35 A.M. of May 5, 1972, before this Court and Amicus Curae:
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: With your permission, your Honor, supplemental to my cross examination to Reverend Father Jose Antonio Diaz, vital witness in connection with the illegal transport of said gold bullion of my client, the Royal Family, Tagean-Tallano Clan, which caused the sudden collapse of the value of Philippine peso, may I ask some important questions, your Honor, relevant to the Sworn
90
Affidavit he executed before a notary public.
Court: Yes, you may provided the questions are relevant to the subject matter.

Amicus Curae: What is the purpose?
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Yes, your Honor. To clarify matters in accordance with missing gold reserves.
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Do you own this typewritten Sworn Affidavit, Reverend Witness and how did you come to know about the illegal transport of the deposited gold bullion from the Central Bank Vaults and that of its exact date?
Witness: Rev.Fr. Jose I was the one who signed this
Antonio Diaz affidavit, Sir, and being the caretaker of the Royal Family, I was the authorized signatory for the withdrawal of that deposited gold bullion from the Central Bank Vaults and I used it to withdraw the same as instructed to me by then Honorable Senate President Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 8, 1963. Besides, I was the one who
91
accompanied Don Esteban Benitez Tallano in transporting the said gold bullion around 617,000 metric tons to Vatican City, your honor, sometime in 1939, to protect the item from the fast escalating World War II, then, your Honor.
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: How many kilos did you withdraw that time?
Witness: Rev. Fr. Jose Based on my arrangement with then
Jose Antonio Diaz Senate President Marcos, we will withdraw only 3 tons or 3,000 kilos but when I and Senate President Marcos were already in the Central Bank Vaults, Central Bank Governor Andres Castillo and Senator Marcos convinced me to sign the withdrawal document containing 35,000 tons that time, I have no choice but to sign.
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Reverend Witness after signing the withdrawal document you mentioned, what transpired next?
Witness: Rev. Fr. Jose Right at that moment, Senator Marcos
Antonio Diaz withdrew the gold bullion from the vault and loaded these on four (4) trailer trucks escorted by
92
Philippine Army member led by unknown colonel and 4 members of the Philippine Constabulary and were driven toward the departure area of the Manila International Airport, then, Sir;
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Reverend Witness, when you were in the MIA departure area, what follows next?
Witness: Rev. Fr. Jose I witnessed the unloading of the
Antonio Diaz gold from the trailers, Sir, which were packed in 70 pieces of wooden crates and they loaded these in the belly of the KLM Airline that time.
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Reverend Witness, you said you were there when the repacking of the gold had been done, how long did it take?
Witness: Rev. Fr. Jose Because when we arrived in the
Antonio Diaz Central Bank, the time was 8:00 o’clock in the morning. When they finished packaging and loading to the trailers, the time was 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon, so approximately Sir, it took seven (7) hours long when we finished.
93
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Being the caretaker of the Tallano-Tagean family’s gold bullion, can you tell to this Honorable Court how many and what is the exact number of kilos do the Tagean-Tallano Family had deposited in the vaults of the Central Bank?
Witness: Rev. Fr. Jose Exactly around 617,000 metric tons that the Tagean-Tallano had deposited to the vault through me in the year 1949 which we transported from the Vatican City in the year 1948 the same were lent to the national government to meet the required gold reserves of the newly organized and installed Central Bank then. But lately, when I went to the Central Bank along with the heirs, Don Esteban Benitez Tallano and Prince Julian Morden Tallano for verification and inventory recently, we found that the only exact inventory remained intact in the vault then was 400,000 metric tons, while, what I withdrew that time beyond the knowledge of the owner through instruction of then Senate President Marcos, now President of this Republic was 35,000 metric tons
94
leaving a supposed inventory balance of 482,500 metric tons, but this was inconsistent to our findings where the last inventory balance was only 400,000 metric tons. Definitely, Sir, they used fraudulently my signature to withdraw such 82,500 metric tons.
Solicitor Guttierez: Your Honor, I wish to call the attention of the Honorable Court to strike … the words as follows: but this was inconsistent to our findings where the last inventory balance was only 400,000 metric tons. Definitely, Sir, they used fraudulently my signature to withdraw such 82,500 metric tons.
Amicus Curae: For what purpose?
Solicitor Guttierez: The answer of the witness was not responsive to the question profound by the counsel. Beside, his statement about the withdrawal of 82,500 metric tons is merely more on hearsay because he was not there when the alleged withdrawal of 82,500 metric tons took place.
95
Atty. Cesar Paras Sr.: Objection, your Honor, the witness has the right opinion which is valid based on his authority designated to him by my client that he is the only person that has an authority to withdraw said gold bullion deposits.
Court: Alright, just maintain the record, eventually, we will cross the bridge when needed.

So how would you measure wealth in a country where the rich make up only a small percentage of the population?
If you measure Philippine's wealth in human resources, then we are rich.
Unfortunately our human resource work abroad and send money back. Not surprisingly it is the OFW's remittances that keep the country on its feet.
Imagine if that human resource was put to use in the PHilippines. If you put that into monetary value, then i guess the Philippines is rich. biggthumpup.gif

if you meant on the way it was purified, then re-melt and purify it again! it is still the same gold as it doesn't oxidise easily compared to other metals!
there are also gold bars i know and i've seen with my own 2 eyes that is not numbered, marked..etc. and is being traded/auctioned in HK which comes from the PI, Mindanao.
there are lots of thing you don't know anymore about the Philippines, alexandra.

you're right though about unloading tonnes of gold is totally not allowed by the joos. just like diamonds...

Extracting the impurities does not shrink the gold. It just made the bars more concentrated.

no!!!! once again-- you didn't get it.

what I said-- has nothing to do with quality of gold in Phil, far from it. It has nothing to do with any of what you said at all.

Gold -- & what's available in the world market are all numbered & marked. As I used the diamonds market-- DeBeers makes sure there's not too much or many flooding the market to keep the prices of diamonds up.. same with gold.. AND gold through the centuries have gone through an evolution the way it's processed.. which means- if 24 ct whatever.. before-- now, it's 18?? there's a uniformity of gold that's available in the open market that's on sale..
and what's in circulation.. hence, why marked & numbered.

why, all this Marcos gold was useless for him-- as far as turning it into cash .. he couldn't sell it & put it into circulation.. get it??? From what I heard from this man.. this gold stash would have affected the gold market.. it also proved.. it's old gold... unacceptible.. there are experts-- one look at it-- they already knew the origin of it & which century.

there are very stringent laws with these things-- minerals, diamonds, gems-- it's heavily watched ... as it affects the world market.. you cannot just unfold these things in the open market.. they keep records.

as for Phil rich in minerals?? of course, it is-- just too bad it's never been properly mined & those who did-- they pocketed it for themselves-- just like Saddam did pocketing the oil revenue for himself & cronies.. when it belonged to the nation.

the sad History of Phil really is-- as much as these Filipino politicians criticised the Colonisers for exploiting that country for it's natural wealth??? once ,it got it's independence?? & they got into power-- THEY WERE DOING THE SAME THING.. in the worse WORSE WAYS.. & that's more despicable in my book-- raping your own people & making them live in depravity is the ultimate sin.. hell even Hitler was 'ideslistic' for Germany & the Aryan race-- as far as that went..

it's a whole nasty business I tell you.. I'm glad we left-- as they would have thrown me in Jail-- I tell you.. as I always speak my mind.. I' would have toe to toe with wretched Marcos.
alexandra
As for Imelda-- can't believe in this new documentary on THRILLA IN MANILA'- she's still mouthing off usual delusional mantra-- 'I'M A SOLDIER OF BEAUTY' nonsense. hmm.. as she mouthed off-- that when people dug into her closets at the Palace after they hurridly left.. they only found beautiful thinhs-- shoes, furniture, jewelry & Cannalettos.. really, I ask-- what does Cannalettos have to do with that country's past??? at least-- if they were Goya's-- one can lamely say-- from our spanish past-- but iTALIAN RENAISSANCE PAINTINGS?? since when did Phil have ties with Italy?? outside of Christina Ford & her gallavanting with the Agnelli's & Rattazi's..

well, they cleaned up her bedroom as soon as possible as it was left a total MESS.. bundled up gold chains that must weighed a ton in a corner-- emptied jewelry boxes from Tiffany, Van Cleef, Harry Winton, bulgari.. etc.. but the most telling was her take-off Marie antoinette Bed-- (as copied from Versailles) she had a hidden movie screen that appeared at a touch of a button.. by her night stand- was a VHS-video case full of same sex porn films-- from Germany no less.. & it said-- guaranteed to satisfy... ooops.. oh dear.. I roared with laughter...

can one imagine- this was reported in the DAILY TELEGRAPH.. a pretty conservative Brit newspaper.. that reporter must have had quite a connection as he got in just mins after the Marcos' left as refugees.. they had pics.. the lot.. it was all recorded before the staff got in there to tidy up..

In 2005, 5,000 metric tons of gold were shipped out (actually by plane) to Europe. The bullions were accidentally found by a farmer somewhere in Mindanao according to writer Priscilla Almeida in her article in the Manila Bulletin. Another 2,000 was discovered and shipped to Thailand in 2006 according to her. As for Imelda Marcos, in a biography about her, it 's said that in the early years when she and marcos were together, she was amazed about so much money in Marcos little bungalow stuff in sacks and placed all over the place, in cabinets, etc. Marcos was not yet President during that time, just a Senator or congressman. But it seems that this was also the time when he was also working with Severino Santa Romana also known as Fr. Jose Antonio Diaz.

i read this, too in my bios-- Marcos always had illegal activities as soon as he entered politics. But this was only the beginning for him.. shows you how amoral & greedy they were/are-- & why even more unconcionable-- how they really 'raped' the Phil. hell, Marcos mostly pocketed the revenue from the US bases for years-- worth in the billions! that should have gone improving that country. they had their fingers in every pie, I tell you.

but the worst sin of all-- they brought in those foreign phedophiles to molest those poor children in the streets of manila-- Imelda got a cut from it all. I have NO patience for this sh*T-- NONE! Do you know when I lived in London?? Scotland Yard Special Branch was investigating Kiddie porn & the secret phedophile societies & when they did- found special trips to manila?? sickening!!!

ay.. you keep using the word BILLIONAIRE.. in the 60's-- there were NO billionaires-- unless you were Howard Hughes@ billionaires maybe a dime a dozen now-- but not then-- when money had more value.

MARCOS WAS NOT A BILLIONAIRE IN THE 50'S, 60'S-- not until he became president.. from stealing the Phil treasury.. sure there was money lying about as far as Imelda was concerned-- it was in pesos.. & coming from her humble background-- not being a true blue romualdez.. Marcos was rich.. Marcos was busy getting kick backs the moment he got into politics--as a congressman. He was ,mainly getting it from the Chinese merchants- considering his real father was one.. who educated him.

you keep going on aBOUT THIS GOLD-- IT MEANS NOTHING.. as it cannot be in circulation.. I was just watching CCTV9 from Beijing & China now holds the 6th largest gold reserves having 1,000plus tons.. & China had to report to the world Market.. to make it legit.

Marcos really made his fortune-- stealing from that country & getting cuts in every industry there was-- why do you think foreign investors left that country? they set up shop elsewhere in Asia.. like China..

you can yap till you get blue over this gold-- but it finally didn't serve Marcos any good.. Imelda was giving it away to her friends as party favours-- like I said before.
alexandra
do you know-- Marcos spent so much money stealing the election in 1969?? he spent it in dollars-- the US reparationns meant for that country from WW2 & leases for the US bases.. can you imagine how much that was? when it was meant for that country?
remember- we were still there & I was already politically aware.. even then we knew he wanted to be a dictator & hatching martial law.Imelda was giving posh education to her kids as she was planning Imee to marry Prince charles.. this before it went public yrs later..apparently going up the massive stairs at Malacanang.. Imelda muttered.. they will never leave it(she said in tagalog)

if you compute 10 percent of the santa romana account as professional fee for being the attorney of jose antonio diaz who was the caretaker of this gold hoard, and you'll get that the word billionaire is an understatement.

those thousand tons of gold are not worthless, those paper money which they keep on printing to salve the ailing global economy are worthless.

ot: can you please answer my question regarding the connection of berniece with the marcoses. is she a relative of imelda? from what i gathered from your ancestry your family has ties to the bulacan province as you yourself state that your grand mother was a proud Tagala from bulacan. Hence, berniece is related to the trinidad side of imelda. am i correct?

Berniece's father was Imelda's half brother from Pure Romualdez side-- metr him several times .. nice man.. oh yeah.. HE HAD GREEN EYES..

yeah, from my own mother's side-- Imelda's mother was care of by some of my own relatives-- got a nun or 2 in the clan.

you'rre making more of a deal over this gold-- but you don';t comment over Marcos stealing US funds.
as for this gold???? YOU'RE SAYING THIS INDIVIDUAL IS HOLDING THE WHOLE ECONOMY OF PHIL???

do you understand what I'm talking about even??? as you keep insisting on this? GOLD WHEN IT HASN'T BEEN IN CIRCULATION.. CANNOT BE USED.. AS THIS GOLD FOUND CAME FROM ANOTHER CENTURY.. do you understand this??? I don't think-- you have a clue what I'm talking about here.. Marcos could have found 30,000 tons.. for all I care-- he couldn't do tiddly with it. and this gold wasn't backing a country's economy, either.

WELL, WE'VE ALL WATCHED GOLDFINGER-- THE BOND FILM.. WELL, WHAT WAS GOLDFINGER UP TO?? ROBBING FORT KNOX.. BUT THAT GOLD WAS BACKING A COUNTRY'S ECONOMY & was in circulation.. UNLIKE MARCOS GOLD.

When Ex priest Fr. Marcelino Tagle of Caritas Manila appeared before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Oct. 14, 1999, He estimated Marcos wealth at 10 Trillion USD, yes, TRILLIONS OF US DOLLARS. And Tagle pointed to Fr. Jose Antonio Diaz as the source of this wealth. I hope somebody here get a copy of Tagle's other revelationS in that Senate hearing. Manuel Quezon III also has an article on this topic in his site (http://www.quezon.ph/2005/04/30/fr-reuter-on-mrs-quezon/) but, as always, more details are hard to find.

i already told you-- it was 2 to 1.. wh means 2pesos equals DOLLAR.

AS FOR mACOS-- SURE HE HAD THIS MONEY LYING ABOUT-- DOUBTFUL HE HAD MILLIONS US LYING ABOUT.. Marcos got very rich after his first US visit to DC-- as he pocketed most of the US funds he got from Johnson-- even Imelda got $5mil US for a shopping spree..

were you around in the 60's??? or are you getting your info from books??? from school?? in hindsight??

I noticed some of the info being posting here are so OFF the beam-- I remember Marcos being a senate president running for president.. his re-election,etc... just like the Beatles incident-- don't have to read about it-- I was there when it happened..

Marcos had Imelda seduce Lopez( & I do mean.. wink.. wink..) to b e his running mate as VP as they wanted his money as well as his press outlets-- to work for him not against .. for his first run.

sorry for this.. but an after thought-- I wonder if anyone will have the guts to write the definitive bio on the Marcoses.. with all their dirt, greed & depravity.. boy!!! it will make the BORGIAS blush I'm sure.. ha.. what's out is not even the tip of the iceberg..

too bad western biographers aren't really interested in them.. but those are the ones who'll have the guts & know-how.. to do it.. as with a filipino gets so subjective.. i noticed like the Pedrosa book..
like they do here with the Kennedy's. Just letting it all hung out.. it won't be Pretty.. NOT at all.

Ok below is an article on Fr. Marcelino Tagle:

Fr. MarcelinoTagle, the first
clergyman to be named to the prestigious Ten
Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award
for
humanitarian services, reiterated that: “It is absolutely
essential for the heirs and legatees to come together and
settle conflicting claims by acting as one.” Tagle believes
that this is still possible by way of an out-of-court
settlement with the Marcoses, in order to get the full
cooperation of other trustees and nominees, particularly
those who are in possession of original copies of
documents, i.e., gold certificates and deposit slips.
Tagle likewise proposed that all those involved in
the recovery effort be given assurance by the Philippine
government that no form of harassment or prosecution
will be instigated against them. He went on to suggest
that they be granted immunity from paying taxes, so
long as a major portion of the assets is used to directly
assist the Filipino people in whatever way is best,
including settlement of the country’s external debts.
For Tagle, the time to act is now. “In view of the
latest developments on the Jewish frozen accounts, the
decision of the Swiss government requiring Swiss banks
to find the rightful owners of questionable assets and
return it to them, the Philippine recovery efforts can
now have a greater chance of success,” says Tagle.
However, the move “requires a genuine spirit of
selflessness, transparency, fairness, and above all,
accurate information on each and every account.” In
short, what is badly needed are qualities which the
participants in the gold hunt are known to be incapable
of possessing, as amply demonstrated in the
ignominious plan called “Operation Big Bird”.
recover them without collecting the various pieces (of
the puzzle).” Tagle likewise disclosed that foundations
were used to hide the accounts amounting to a
whopping “$50 Trillion”.“Sta. Romana, when he was alive, had bequeathed,
on behalf of the Filipino people, substantial quantities of
gold bars,” reveals Tagle. According to an Italian
lawyer informant of Tagle, he personally saw piles of
gold bars inside the UBS bank vault stamped “Marcos
Gold”, “Filipino People’s Gold”, or “Generals’ Gold”.
Tagle’s testimony jives with the findings of
Rigoberto Tiglao of the Far Eastern Economic
Review. In 1978, U.S. syndicated columnist Jack
Anderson cited a 1000-page State Department
document detailing Marcos’ plan “to recover the
Yama$hita Treasure”. He even quoted an eyewitness
who earlier claimed to have been shown “a room filled
with gold bars in the dictator’s summer palace”.
Nine years later, in 1987, William Scott Malone of
the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) was
commissioned to write an investigative paper on the
Marcos Gold Hoard. In that article, Malone arrived
at the conclusion that the Filipino strongman “did
ship out of the Philippines, somewhere between 10
metric tons and 50 metric tons of gold bullion.” But
it was Britain’s newspaper, Guardian, that first
claimed in 1994 that about “1,200 tons of Marcos
gold were stashed in Switzerland.”
Summing up his testimony, Tagle, the first
clergyman to be named to the prestigious Ten
Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award for
humanitarian services, reiterated what this writer
already stated earlier in this series: “It is absolutely
essential for the heirs and legatees to come together and
settle conflicting claims by acting as one.” Tagle believes
that this is still possible by way of an out-of-court
settlement with the Marcoses, in order to get the full
cooperation of other trustees and nominees, particularly

documents, i.e., gold certificates and deposit slips.

throwing governmental money on the weak buying force will create just another bubble and level of debt.
in this context gold is just another type of currency and help nothing but serve some limited interests of the owner.
gold owners can become bigger land owners, when they are land lords already.

the only thing that helps is restructuring of the product palette, away from luxury goods towards resource-friendly basic demand, and employing the masses in this process.
second step is a different paradigm of redistribution, when goods without buyers are piled on one side, and masses who are not required for all that production and can afford nada, on the other side.

One suggestion was to give monthly pension to every Filipino based on its net proceeds. Just like natives of Alaska receive from its fossil oil resources.

I see, but let's remind the concept has to be sustainable. that's one big challenge more.
the alaska thing though is about a minority in a huge and wealthy country.

no!!!! once again-- you didn't get it.

what I said-- has nothing to do with quality of gold in Phil, far from it.

I' would have toe to toe with wretched Marcos.

once these riches are used the recession will worsen because the riches become more common, the law of supply and demand.
