So lets see. USA has been using people's right of "self-determination"as an excuse to support seperationist groups in different countries globally(ex: in Russia, South America). And of course, it support Taiwan's independence too. If US government really believe in "self-determination", does it mean Texas has the right to secede from US if it wishes to? With a black president in office, Texas, one of the most racist states of US, could one day really try to take a vote of seceding from the Union. Maybe US should practice what it preaches to let Texas have the right to determine whether it wants to stay in US?

perhaps that will make the US rethink its meddling in other country's internal affairs if another country interferes in the US affairs

The Chinese aren't interfering with the status of Texas as a member of the Union. They're powerless on this subject. Actually imo the only Chinese who care are a few lost souls who reside in America, but don't identify as Chinese-American or Asian American.

Perhaps China should sell weapons to Texas directly just as US sells weapons to Taiwan.

If China wanted there are lots of ways to support this. We can start by providing shelter and funds for their activists. We can talk about all much the Texans are suffering from an unjust Federal government every time we meet with foreign leaders. We can give them publicity by inviting pro-independence people for trips to space. We can provide "self defence" training to a private Texas militia.

Truly the joys can be endless.

Yea, but they are mostly small arms and their source from all over America. Plus, the Federal government will try to block those weapon sources if Texas try to put up arm struggle. I think China can provide an alternative source of weapons to Texas. Also Texas need bigger weapons like tanks, artillery ans such, not just rifles, handguns.

Are you on the same wavelength as YT male Republican governor Rick Perry? The two of you are the only ones taking this subject seriously. You're living in a fantasy world. There is no Texas govt. in exile, but there is a Tibetan govt. in exile. There is no Texas govt. claiming to be the sole govt. of America, but there is a Taiwanese govt. claiming to be the sole legitimate govt. of China. There are no American soldiers being killed by Texas insurgents, but there are Chinese soldiers being killed in East Turkistan.

The people here who are talking succession have seen too many movies. They live in a fantasy world in which God is a Republican (and a Texan) and they can't see beyond the length of their own noses. I don't know what Rick Perry is up to, but it sounds like he's trying to rile up his most conservative (anti-Obama) base and alienate everyone else. The sad part is that the current polls show that he is in the lead over all other perspective candidates. Makes me ashamed to live in Texas knowing that big bag of mashed-up jackass is the governor here because people all around the world think that we are all like him. And we're not.

Secondly - there has been a reactionary bunch of crazy people campaigning for Texas to secede ever since I can remember. The only time anyone pays attention to them is when tey get carried away and commit a few felonies.

Texas is not about to secede or it would have happened before 1900.
