Is it a term that came about to always remind us that we came from Clans of the 3 Son's of Chou Yi? Is it only a Hmong/Miao thing? or is it just a saying nothing more nothing less? I know it's means " Us Hmong " in the Indo China Hmong Population. I'm not sure what it means to the Miao of China, but they do have a sight call 3Miao. I'm just saying maybe it does stands for "3 Hmong". Would like to know some of your thoughts on it.

SAN MIAO - VAJ PEB HMOOB

I believe it has something to do with our history.

Yes, it might has something to do with the three kings.

SAN MIAO (3 MIAO) was an ancient tribe in China that fought against NU LI ZHU(ZHOU) KINGDOM of the XIA(SUAV).

SHANG DYNASTY(YAJSAB) was overthrown by ZHOU(Chinese).
This is why the Hmong carrying saying that the Chinese stole the Hmong culture, art, technology and etc...
This is why Zhou Kingdom share the same arts as Shang Dynasty.

After Zhou, the Hmong Ancestors came to power again, during the SPRING AND AUTURMN PERIOD. THE CHU STATE, when the Miao people fought to take back their land from the Chinese, but later were destroyed by the Chinese against (QIN STATE).

This is why the XIA moved from being known as XIA by the HMONG to be known as HAN by the majority.. however, the Chinese themselves are still known as XIA(suav) by us.

Ah, I finally get it now.

The San Miao fought the YAO SHUN and YU of the Xia. They also fought with the NU LI ZHU or ZHOU.

1. Xia Dynasty/Shang Dynasty - Our people fought with the Xia for the control of central region or YajSab. According ot what I know, the land where the Miao Ancestors resided were green and full of trees. It was known as YANG SHANG. YANG means LEADER and SHANG means LAND.
2. Eastern Zhou
3. Western Zhou.

Both Zhou are Xia. During this time, the San Miao were constantly at wars with them. Zhou were known as Nu Li Zhu.

4. Spring and Autumn/ Period of Warring States - largest state was the Chu State

The King of Chu sent his people southwest as an expendition passing Hubei Province. Nanzhao(kingdom of the Mab(nanman)) captured Hubei Province and enslaved many Miao and other ethnic groups Hubei all the way to Sichuan Province.

Here are my evidences to why Shang and Chu are Hmong.
The Qeej was mention on oracles bones dated back to Shang Dynasty. The Qeej was created to confuse the Chinese, because both Xia and Miao Ancestors spoke the same language. Chinese were often sent spies to spy on the Miao, so they created the bamboo qeej to represent the tones of the Miao language... The Qeej was used to communicate.. which is why today, the Qeej is use in rituals... These rituals depict events in Hmong history.

The Qeej was also an instrument used by the Chu people.

Anyways, history must be corrected. I have finally uncovered history. Although many don't agree with me, I have lots of source to back me up. It's already clear that the Hmong have traditions similar to Shang and Chu. Language is similar to the language of Chu as well. omg....

OMG.. i'm smart. lol

i think maybe you guys are just looking way too much into it.

if you say "peb" it's just referring to you and a few others (with you) whether they are hmong or not.
if you say "peb hmoob" then you are referring to yourself and hmong ethnic group.
if you say "hmoob" it can (maybe or maybe not) be seen as you referring to hmong in a way that doesn't include yourself.

altho who knows about he history thing...it could be true. for now tho i feel that it's just a language thing.

Dang, Guy your really into that stuff aren't you not Saying it's a bad thing. I think that we sometimes take our culture for granted and take things at Face value and never question it. I mean at one time everybody but one person thought that the world was Flat right. It's always good to think about the " What If ".

It's not just language or words. What about the saying, VAJ HMOOB NYOB QHOV TWG? WHERE IS KING HMONG?

VAJ HMOOB can either mean, the HMONG KINGDOM since VANG(wang) means KING IN CHINESE. VANG(vaj) also means COURT, YARD and etc...

VAJ HMOOB can also refers to the THREE KINGS or VAJ PEB HMOOB.

VAJ PEB HMOOB = SAN MIAO or the 3 MIAO.

I DISCOVERED THAT IT REFERS TO THE THREE REGIONS WHERE THE MIAO PEOPLE SETTLED.
