apparently it stains the teeth

anyone had them? what do they taste like? they are to be chewed only, not actually eat it right?

Mostly elderly likes them, its not just in cambodia that use these things, but in India, thailand, i think vietnam too, and Laos. Even the west have something like this too. I think it make your teeth strong and you wont get cavity even though it stain your teeth.

Those are Areca nuts. It is very astringent I think. Not chewed for the flavor, but the affects it gives, I think something like nicotine.
