I saw a cable program I think it was Mangolia where people were selling a medicine or drug for lots of money. The narrative went on to describe the thing as moth pupa that was infected by a fungus. The dried remains have special chemicals. Its actually illegal but sold none the less.

I have not heard of this.
The closet thing I know would be cordyceps.
