On May 11th, the ceremony was taken place to remember and celebrate Confucius and other famed apostles of Confucianism.
This ceremony is also performed on September 23rd, the birth day of Confucius.
Through out the history, Korea embraced Confucianism as its main philosophy and prospered under the influence of the Confucianism.
The ceremony is a national event which Koreans express their utmost respect to Confucius.
