Is it possible to design a computer that talk to you. There are at least three distince ways it possiblely could happen.
1) The "computer" is actual intelligence developing itself over a life time of at least a thousand or so years
2) The "computer" have a ghost access device
3) The computer is an artifical intelligence with memory bank
The study of these open access to new sensor device and advisory option. Of course it could be bad or good depending on external factor. So, what do you guys think of the robot Asumo currently under development by Honda Corporation.
I firmly believe AI is possible, but we don't have the technology yet. The human brain is just a vastly complicated nebula of synapses and electrical charges - a kind of computer composed of cells instead of silicon - but I believe it is possible to emulate the brain's activity on an advanced enough computer (I don't believe in souls or any of that). There are already programs capable of basic 'learning'. It's just a matter of time before AI becomes advanced enough to be considered truly 'intelligent'.
As for Asimo, it's cool, but not equipped with any kind of AI as far as I know...
