Back when I was young there use to be Ati-Atihans in Valenzuela during the fiestas. Do they still have 'em in Manila.

is that the same with the Ati-Atihan in Kalibo, Aklan? it usually starts on the 2nd week of January together almost coinciding with Sinulog in Cebu and Dinagyang in Iloilo. i like the Ati-Atihan because you can join in the parade while they "sad-sad" in the streets........ and Boracay's just a ride away.

oh yeah....i see them every fiesta (we have two)...
to add up, since people here love to go fiesta-hopping (kahit di ka tagadon), people get to see them a lot in one year alone.

i was also scared before.... my uncle said they catch kids...

not sure but ati atihan, i guess is kinda the same but smaller, it's like when they dress as ati/ita/aita/agta as then dance like a long parade with spears and such.
