Just wondering if anyone has had such a relationship or know anybody who has and how it worked out? From my experiences, it seems that these two cultures seem almost incompatible with eachother, being far too different. We think and act a little too differently and I think for some people like me find it a little bit too difficult to cope with.

Its rare for me to see or even hear about Vietnamese men and Taiwanese women couple but more often its the total opposite. Its sad but true. I don't know if its us Vietnamese man fault or is it Chinese woman particularly Taiwanese and Cantonese women (HK) that we rarely see them together. Or it just society that is to blame. Culturally i don't see much of a differences between the two of us. So i don't see why there shouldn't be more Vietnamese men and Taiwanese couple out there.

Although i did once knew a Vietnamese/Taiwanese couple. But that is like 1 compared to the hundreds of thousands of Taiwanese men and Vietnamese women couples out there.

Taiwanese girls still fall into the asian girl category. All the typical stereotypes or dating rules apply. Good luck.

Actually I meant we just "think" too differently, as in there are a lot of things that she does that she would think is ok but I wouldn't, and vice versa. Language barrier doesn't really account for much, it's not like we both don't speak english.

so you mean to compare taiwanese american and vietnamese american? cuz i really don't quite understand what you are trying to distinguish this "different" things.

as far as i know, my taiwanese friends (both male and female) don't really like to hang out with anyone but taiwanese.. it's because they speak engrish so language barrier is a big problem for everyone.

as for taiwanese girl with vietnamese guys? i never really don't pay much attention but i wouldn't be surprise if there are a few.. there are exception to everything.. there's even human marrying chimpanzee if you haven't notice. watch that documentary a while ago..

i don't think that would ever happen. its just too weird. so far in my whole life i have never heard of a relationship with a taiwanese girl dating vietnamese guys.

^^ viet guys are actually known for being very protective. however, i wouldnt date a taiwanese girl. the taiwanese girls i do know are super shallow. i cant stand out their outfit (tacky). they have no sense for high fashion.

are you kidding me...taiwanese are actually very fashinable.....their sense of fashion in the 80's and 90s are as worse as the rest of east asian...even the japanese dress awfully in the 80s- 90s( i saw that on the 90s jp tv shows)

i visited taiwan 3 years ago...they dressed pretty decent....

but today, taiwanese are as fashionable as the japanese....

but vietnamse...even the ones in Europe and America dress like country fools.......

taiwanese girls are fashionable...their fashion is something i would call mainstream and commercial...its not my taste...i prefer girls with high-fashion...its a big difference. commoner probobaly dont know how to appreciate high fashion. the Vietnamese have better understanding for high fashion (here in Europe).

as for the taiwanese girls are being shallow, im not sure about that , since i never had any closely interaction with them, just met a few while studied one year in europe, but i guess most of girls from developed countries/cities are similar ( materialistically )

sorry but i dont mean to insult you. check out some magazines like Vogue, BlackBook, or websites like lookbook.nu to get an insight into the world of high fashion. i'm not telling that all vietnamese are into high fashion here in europe, but from all asians, i only personally know the vietnamese who does.

i lived near the vietnamesehood while my stay in Eirope and saw a lot of vietnamese ( many hundreds of them )
most of them dressed like 2pac wannabes or something like that
but they look kind of funny with their skinny bodies wearing in those loose t shirt and jeans
and most of their adults love to wear very tight jeans very disturbing

There are mail order brides everywhere in every 3rd world country. But hopefully this will change for VN soon.

They don't exist. The only hairy and macho white guys are usually dating other men or taking steroids.

It's up to the Taiwanese and Vietnamese to decide for themselves. There is no point of forcing them to get with each other.
