I am not referring to the old government people, but the elites on the ground, the bankers, the property tycoons, the movers and shakers....
I think by and large they are rather asian oriented.. they know they have to work with the burgeoning chinese elites from the PRC more and more, while the influence from western economy wanes in the coming few years.
What do u think?

My father is an official in PRC, and a Singpapore official have told him during his visit in Singapore that: Currently the Chinese population is in declining in Singapore while the rest is on the rest, Singpapore govenment now get a policy to encourage the Chinese from PRC to come, and this guy openly told my father that other ethnics there are lazy and dont contribute much to the society.
And we all know the PM and the former PM of Singapore are all quite Chinese-oriented leaders to the degree they can openly say some polictically incorrect comments to the media.

Singaporeans, especially the Chinese community, are famous in SE Asia as that of BANANA, white in the inside while yellow on the outside.
Sufficed to say, they're Westerners trapped in Asian bodies.
Sort of ...
