I just said that cause I think it's so wrong that certain celebrities namely pertaining to the post Miranda Cosgrove don't get as much publicity cause they're more ethnic looking. What an injustice- talk about racism! Miranda Cosgrove whose father is possibly Filipino and mother is half-white/half-Hispanic (googling it you come up with all kinds of things- this being the main one- but she undoubtedly is not your typical white looking girl, I personally thought she was part korean myself at first). She plays/stars in icarly (a very popular kids show on Nickelodeon). As opposed to Hannah Montana though, she isn't nearly as big and she's definitely one of those "cool young girls the kids like" type like HM and others. HUGE difference (many of you may never even have heard of icarly or Miranda Cosgrove for that matter; and this is only one example as you can imagine).

I'm just throwing in the same "blog" cause I was thinking also about how Carrie Underwood when she was competing in American Idol some semi-Hollywood hotshot was asked who he thought would win he was like "let's give it to the blonde this time, let's give the blonde a chance". And I thought that's ridiculous it should be more like "let's give it to the dark-haired Peruvian or Malaysian or Native American this time....".lol

erm..maybe she ain't all that good....i doubt it's her looks......i mean look at vanessa from high school musical ....she looks more Filipino that her.......i have seen Miranda Cosgrove act and sing .......she's ok ...nothing to shout about .......if people don't watch icarly .....she was one of the kids in"Rock school ".........anyway as for carrie underwood...she won because she can sing not because of her hair color......if she had dark hair she still woulda won ......

are u serious?.....Vanessa Hudgens was way more famous than miley cryrus..........she was in every teen magazine well before miley cyrus was even heard of...........i dunno i think u need to check your facts.........what about demi lovato and selena gomez.....they are pretty hispanic looking and they are just as famous

White people find other white people the most interesting, I think it pretty much comes down to that. I don't think I'm being particularly mean when I say I'm generally more interested in what white people are doing, up to, etc. than I am with what people who aren't white are doing. Doesn't mean I don't care about them at all, just not as much. The media in the U.S. though becoming more diverse is still very much geared towards white people and the things that interest white people.
