He was basically saying this because Hip Hop is in a dire state. 50 cent aka Curtis Jackson has the power to stop careers. If you have money, you can stop distribution of sales. He stopped Ja Rule for a minute right after Ja released the 'New York' track. Some beefs are staged to gain record sales. While others are real and ends in two ways. Get shot up or career in the toilet. What he said I agree on, but it's not like everyone is scared of 50 cent. It's just that most of the listeners are not going for records that make you think, lyric wise. They are rather for the latest dance moves. Ring tone rap should be taken off and ripped to shreds. Rappers like Jadakiss is on the rise among some other artists. But the platform for NY rappers should increase and more should come in. Hip Hop needs them!
