Truthfully, how correlated do you think morality is to success in this world (as in we're not mentioning heaven here unless it's "heaven on earth"......) I'm also not talking ppl who obviously their success eg career depends on how "bad" they are like a robber or an assasin at the extreme.lol ... Just your idealistic average ordinary everyday citizen....
Consider adages/sayings (songs, etc) like "nice guys finish last", "only the good die young" and many countless others I can't think of right now off the top of my head that have to do with goodness or not prevailing or losing...
Do you think nice guys are actually the ones more likely who come out the victor in this life (regardless of whether or not you believe in an afterlife) cause things like karma in the real world are true, etc??? "Nice guys" (good guys/people etc , u know what i mean) don't have to be the martyr, saints, and victims etc...... Or the good really do get duped in the end?
Or karma doesn't always or does always catch up to "bad" people?
OR do you think morality and success are not that correlated? How correlated do you think they are?

the thing success is such a broad term. do you mean success as plenty of money and hoes? perhaps morality or lack thereof might play a lot. but peace of mind and self respect...depends on how much you value morality and ethics i suppose or how you define the game: if winning is all that matters perhaps, but knowing whether you fully won by cheating or not, depends on how much what my father would say, principles you have.

Bad people definitely. Because as a bad person, you essentially "cheat". You do things that a good person wouldn't, and so get ahead (perhaps by even doing "bad" things to your direct competitors). And all the people that you deal with won't find out because to be a successful bad person requires deceit.
As the saying goes, the turds float to the top. If you're the good guy, without some very stubborn backing by a sizable base of supporters you will at best be the scapegoat for someone less scrupulous (and such a cult of personality can be a very bad thing, just look at Hitler, he was very much the good guy at least until the war).
