USA has now been overtaken by China in trade with Africa. African countries are now enjoying the benefits of the free trade without embargoes and economic sanctions. Many countries are saying that they have benefited better compared to earlier years. Are the westerns days not over??

I firmly believe Africa will the next new emerging market after BRIC. Many Europeans and Americans still hold the backward view of Africa as a dark continent. China's policy to Africa is more forward looking.

One of my British friend told me he thinks China is trying to colonize Africa. I told him that Africans is too proud to let China colonize them. For a lot of Americans and Europeans, Africans are still those helpless tribes who need aid and guidelines. But they are wrong. The Chinese are not perfect in dealing with African countries, but at least they treat African countries as equal partners.

Just wanted to add that the economy of the United States is still firmly 3 times bigger than China's.

Did you know that ten years ago, the US economy was 11 times the size of China's? Now, its only 3 times.

In another ten years, China will be larger than the US. It's not that far away.

Sometimes back the US economy was so much strong that no country was near. Today China will not sweat when overtaking US. Even the 3 times you are saying will be vise versa and if the good cooperation between China and Africa continues Africa will emerge with China.

I oppose further intrusion into Africa's land, sooner or later China's would be shipping them to China for cheap labor and you know what would happen..
