I like both games! Mortal Kombat was fun coz of the fatalities and counters "oopsy"

Street Fighter was awesome coz of the combos you can unleash and specials. When it comes down to it though, combos and specials can't stand up to fatalities. I can imagine scorpion unleashing a "come over here" to ryu and chopping his head off. It's brutal and gory but that's the outcome

Street Fighter all the way. I am much more interested in playing characters from around the world with different fighting styles depending on their culture than fatalities and gore. Also I find the anime-ish graphics of Street Fighter more attractive than the digitized Mortal Kombat
Oh yeah why is this in the anime/manga section? Shouldn't it be in the game chat?

i still think the best game ever made was mortal kombat 1, i remember when it came out on sega i was lookin at books to figure out cheats/fatalities

.
im still am a fan of the older characters like raiden, kano, subzero etc, to me they can take the street fighter characters in a battle.
kano rippin someones heart out is one of the sickest fatalities

I think Street Fighter was much more revolutionary. What Mortal Kombat added was that element of graphic violence, which was like a makeover. The first version of MK sucked as a tactical game, though. So did the first Street Fighter. They both caught their stride on their second versions.

street fighter. It's a much more complex and balanced game than mortal combat.
