I use to think Indian movies are too soft (too much emphasis on romance) and had too many un-necessary choreagraphy but after watching this movie I started to understand Bollywood film and became a fan mainly because of Kajol. I really liked the storyline.
I want to know is there any other film similar to this in terms of storyline and settings that is about a high school or college sweetheart, ect.
Also what's a good site to DL bollywood movies (no streams I hate streaming movies)

This had been produced long time ago. When do you watch this? You should watch Tamil and Telugu movies too. They're creative and they have many devotional movies if you are a Hindu. I'm not a Hindu, but I enjoy watching their devotional movies as well.

Try watch this for cultural exposure, it's actually a Malayalam movie, but remade again as Hindi movie. It contains women issues, not merely lovey movie. Different religion women, different region, one from Rajashtan (Central India), one from Himachal Pradesh (North-West India). But getting together and you can see the strength of a women to save her husband's life.

For South Indian movie, I suggest you Chatrapathi... It's a Telugu movie with Prabhas as the actor. Luckily I can found them in Youtube... They're with English translation. If I'm not mistaken, there's other Telugu movie about life in college, but I forgot the title. The songs in the movie is quite nice. I know many SEAns today don't prefer songs in the movie, but I still listen to Indian movies songs, only from selected movies yaar.
Vid 1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94IExQrlSbo...feature=related I cried like hell watching this movie, never cried watching Bollywood movies, but I cried when watching this

There are lotso f films like Kuch Kuch hota hai.
There's DDL Dilwal Dulhania Lejayenge
Before that there was Churaliya, Ek Duje ke liye, Aashiqui
These are teen movies or teen or uni romance movies.
Most of the Kareena Kapoor films are like that eg. Khushi, Mujshe Dosti Karogi.

If you're looking for shamelessly melodramatic Bollywood movies, then my favourite ones would probably be:
Awara (1951)
Aradhana (1969)
Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978)
Maine Pyar Kiya (1989)
Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (1995)
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
Kaho Naa Pyar Hai (2000)
Khabhi Khushi Khabhi Gham (2001)
Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)
Koi Mil Gaya (2003)
Main Hoon Na (2004)
Krrish (2006)
Om Shanti Om (2007)

K2H2 was a great movie and a very good debut made by Karan Johar.
as he is good in fantastic locations, fantastic new age storyline, and fantastic trio of KAJOL,SHAHRUKH and RANI was made in this movie.
i was a kid when this movie released and watched in many breaks because whenever i went to my friend's house i used to continue watching it.just because i didnt wanted the thrill of watching this movie in a home theater system.
how kiddish about me...!
