Ugh.
Dude is a total hack. Instead of coming up with fresh and original ideas, he merely takes classic works, rips out what made them unique, and pumps them full of the same tired and old Hot Topic/mall goth bull$hit.
Gene Wilder's portrayal of Willy Wonka was perfect-- it was fu-ked up and dark in it's own special way. Tim Burton didn't need to come along and give Wonka his lame goth treatment.
I'm also sick of Johnny Depp. All his film characters have been the same: some eccentric cartoony guy in a silly hat. It's getting so old. He needs to get away from Burton and branch out.
