A lot of Spaniards, Italians, and other southern Europeans look like they could pass for Arabs, Persians, and even Indians.

That's true, I often can't tell the difference between hispanics, spanish, italian, greek, arab, jewish and sometimes indian....I think it has something to do with southern europe's location near africa and persia. The moors invaded many times and interbred with the people....

Seen quite a few of these people whom claim to be "spaniards". If you didnt know any better, youd think they were just light skin Mexicans. *shrugs* I just love it to death how they get pissed off when they come to America, especially Cali, and look no different and get treated no different than Mexicans. Here in the Southwest, Spainards are seen as just "Mother country of all the Mexicans and Central Americans." Nothing else.

At my job (i work at a casino with over 3200 people) theres 3 people from Argentina that work in the housekeeping dept with the rest of the Mexicans and Central Americans. These 3 Argentinians say they are from Argentina, but their parents are from Spain originally. One of them is named "Juan" and i overheard 2 housekeepers talking about how Juan is lazy and is always hiding in the restroom and one of them says "Juan who"? and the Other one says "Juan, that short mexican guy with the glasses".

My white bud by the name of robert..his sister is married to a guy from spain, and they have a daughter. I saw his neice's pic in his wallet, and their daughter looks straight Mexican!! It was a "baseball card" type of pic because his neice played little league and the name on the bottom of the pic read "Marisol Vega".

They then come online and for the rest of their lives try to prove their whiteness by posting pic after pic on forum after forum. What miserable lives these human garbage lead.

I ain't worried about myself. I just find it annoying that the common redneck are so ignorant about Filipinos. As a result, due to their ignorance, they're trying to assimilate us to the Chinese. A number of them who looks at our surname would think that we're Mexicans because of our dark skin and Hispanic influenced surnames

I think phillipino's are mostly pinoy (austronesian native)....maybe that's why they are mistaken for mexican. Austronesian indigenous and american natives look the same and when they are mixed with east asian and spanish the combination is either chinese looking or mexican looking depending on the amount of indigenous blood.

most mexicans are "native americans" (or mixed with indigenous american and spanish), they really arn't a sperate "race". mexicans w/o euro blood are more related to any north american or south american native tribe than most european/asian/african groups are. before european contact, were extremely homogeneous.

Spaniards are the result of 700 years fuc.king between black Muslims (Moors from Morrocco) and the native Roman/Germanic women. Some of this was rape and some voluntary because Moors had '3 legs.'

Mexicans in turn, are the result of 300 years fuc.king between the mulatto Spaniards and the native Aztec/Mayan women (even though some Aztec/Mayan men did survive in the genes).

Actually the Moors weren't black. They were mostly of Berber origin with some Arab blood. Moorish contribution to the Spaniards gene pool is quite small with the exception of the Andalusians. But still, they are still white. They'll always be one of the worst white oppressors during the European colonization of the world. They'll never be one of the "oppressed brown people".

I really hate how some westerners especially the Americans portrays Spaniards as "poor brown people" while real brown people like Filipinos are thought of as rich light-skinned Chinese

^Have you seen an actual Moroccan? The light ones look Mexican but there are some darker ones who can pass as African-American (think about the NBA player Rasheed Wallace). I have met one Morrocan who look exactly like Rasheed Wallace. Also in paternal genetic, the southern Spanish and Portugese have at least 20-30% marker E (indicative of North African or black blood).

Spaniards know this ugly reality and so that is why today they go out of their way to to be racist towards others because they are uneasy of their possible mulatto status.

I still dont think most Mexicans have Spanish blood. The pic below are Native Americans but they look very similar to the Mexicans.

I have seen some Tenerife girls, I wasn't able to distinguish them from Arabs.

Some of them might look somewhat black, but the vast majority of Moroccans simply look brown like Arabs. Moroccans come in all shades (some even have "white" olive skin), so it would be wrong to refer to them all as "black".

Actually, only a small percent of the Spanish population has any Moorish ancestry at all. And out of those who do, it's an extremely modest amount. Intermarriage between native Iberian people and Moors were far and few. After the reconquest, virtually all Moors were kicked out of Spain. Oh, and Moors were not Sub Saharan African; they were Berber (a mixed ethnic group) for the most part.
