Is there a major difference between fourth and fifth generation in terms of maintenance?
schen04
uh if i remember correct the fifth gen ludes had a recall on ignition cylinder. other than that im sure the 4th gen would cost more in maintenance just due to the fact that its older and more likely for something to brake due to age but all h22's have the oil burning problem which u cant fix well its not that you can't but its not worth it to.

Neither was it in Japan. The weirdest thing is that i never thought the 5th Prelude to be an ugly car. A friend of mine once said something about the 5th gen Prelude being too long for racing or something like that.

a 5th gen prelude was never popular cause a honda (fwd) that weighs over 3,000 lbs wasnt appealing from a performance standpoint.

There's a local guy around my town who took a 4G and converted it into a rear engine RWD.

Lee said, "I wanted to make something unique." In the world of racing and "tuners," "They were never anyone's choice. They were too heavy, underpowered. I wanted to bring the potential out of it." To do this he made it into a rear wheel drive car with the engine in the middle.

Last time I heard it was making 450hp, street legal, daily driven.

Wow. would definitely wipe off that smirk 300zx and corvette drivers have when they see a prelude. embarassedlaugh.gif

300zx drivers and corvette drivers can easily spank that prelude with way less money put into the car than the prelude has in it.

That's impressive. But doesn't make it to the same rank as the GTs ...

Accords were in better ranks than preludes believe it or not. Back in the 1995-2000(the peak of the scene) days of the import scene, there were many accords that were tuned inside and out, but they just couldnt grab main-scene attention, and whtatever you did to an accord engine, it just was never fast!
lilasiankid
Yeah, tossing in an H22 was pretty common though.

The new accords are friggin' fast for what they are! embarassedlaugh.gif
