this is a common misconception that anime characters are "white" and they aren't and i've tried to make that point before. they are just surrealist asian characters.

some anime does have distinct white characters but most of them are not, they are just a mutant fantasy based more on asians with all colors natural or otherwise hair and eyes.

True, I read about an Anime conference held some time ago were the industry decided to make the characters more surreal. That's why hair is blue, green etc.. It has something to do with trying to prevent people from copying things done in the Anime.
