South Korea has been giving aid to the North for YEARS now, they just give it to the military and don't feed the people, its incredibly frustrating but that what happens with a Stalinist dictatorship. The only realistic option is to cause an internal revolution via any means necessary or external military force from ROK forces.
unification is inevitable though, its just making sure that China doesn't catapult everything by trying to invade North Korea China's North East History project is something to be concerned about especially for South Korea. That said I hope for a strong Asian union to ensure our societies become destroyed like western societies are.

Have to agree that reunification is probably inevitable in the long run. I honestly don't think China should be too much against that either, if it can ensure that its existing territories will not be threatened. The first order of business though, would be to settle all the territory disputes between the countries. The dokdo/takeshima thing will need to be settled, as will the senkaku/diaoyutai islands. Once the territory disputes are settled, then there's little reason for hostilities, because all the Asian nations will be too economically integrated at that point to risk war (not to mention impractical, especially when a nuclear capable nation is involved).
Its great that the three of us here, each representing one of the big three nations in Asia, can come together peacefully and talk positively about creating strong bonds. Not only amongst ourselves but, including the welfare of all of Asia. Its up to the people in charge to carried it out now.
