Japan loaned the Indonesian Government money to build a hydro-electric dam to provided needed power and to regulate water. The dam required the resettlement of 23,000 people.

For some bizarre reason, 8,000 people(almost half the the resettled villagers) sued Japan for funding the dam - they sued for $454 million(in American dollars). How is this Japans fault? The villagers lost the law suit of course but were did they get the idea they can and should sue Japan?

Unless their is a good reason they did this, my opinion of Indonesians have dropped significantly.
kakabonga
agree, they should sue their own government.
Mid-Night_Sun
the displaced villagers seem to have used psychological displacement LOL.
DaHeinz
those idiots sued an entity outside their country's jurisdiction.

OMG storms are coming! Quick! Sue planet earth!

At least they some liberty and know the concept of suing, unlike displaced peoples elsewhere by their own governments that don't even have that right.

Doesn't hurt to try, but they should have pointed the finger at their own government.
