http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...id=asuF17HIGBM4Japan loaned the Indonesian Government money to build a hydro-electric dam to provided needed power and to regulate water. The dam required the resettlement of 23,000 people.
For some bizarre reason, 8,000 people(almost half the the resettled villagers) sued Japan for funding the dam - they sued for $454 million(in American dollars). How is this Japans fault? The villagers lost the law suit of course but were did they get the idea they can and should sue Japan?
Unless their is a good reason they did this, my opinion of Indonesians have dropped significantly.
