Someone said that all the wars organized by the "Prophet" of Islam were all for the purpose of self defense. These are blatant lies. Out of 78 wars launched by "Prophet", only Battle of Uhud and Khandaq were of defensive nature, the rest were raids. The meaning of "Ghazwa" means night raid. When "Prophet" insulted the gods of Quraisy for 13 years in Mecca, the persecutions suffered by him was not as severe as Muslim apologists tried to picture in their literature. It was the ambush at Nakhlah and murder of one caravanier that induced the Badr battle. Look at this hadith:

Bukhari Volume 3, Book 46, Number 717:
Narrated Ibn Aun:
Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives; the Prophet got Juwairiya on that day

Is this a character of a good man?? Please do not whitewashed him as his dubious piousness and craved for sex were so clear and obvious.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said:
The Apostle of Allah sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, send down the Qur'anic verse: "And all married womenare forbidden unto you save those whom your right hand possess."[Surah 4:24] [Sunan Abu Dawud, Book V, Chapter 711, Number 2150]

No wonder the history of Islam was full with bloodshed, murder, conspiracy and betrayal. It's because you accept an evil man to be a prophet and guide. Please do not claim that the hadiths I stated above are non-authentic as a scape route. The "right hand possessed" or Maa Malakat aymaanukum is sanctioned by Quran in many places such as Suraa Al-Mu'minuun, Suraa An-Nisa (4:3). The legalization to utilize female captives of war directly mean unlimited sexual partner. Look at your prophet, he had more than 20 sexual partners, how can this man was portrayed as "mercy of all creature"?

Wake up, man. How do you explain the beheading of 600-700 Bani Quraiza Jews living in the vicinity of Yathrib? If the pagan Quraisy was applying the similar method when the "Prophet" and his followers were in Mecca, there will be no Muslim today.

Volume 7, Book 63, Number 182:

Narrated Abu Usaid:

We went out with the Prophet to a garden called Ash-Shaut till we reached two walls between which we sat down. The Prophet said, "Sit here," and went in (the garden). The Jauniyya (a lady from Bani Jaun) had been brought and lodged in a house in a date-palm garden in the home of Umaima bint An-Nu'man bin Sharahil, and her wet nurse was with her. When the Prophet entered upon her, he said to her, "Give me yourself (in marriage) as a gift." She said, "Can a princess give herself in marriage to an ordinary man?" The Prophet raised his hand to pat her so that she might become tranquil. She said, "I seek refuge with Allah from you.

The hadith described about the after scene of raid lauched against Bani Jaun. If you look at the Arabic version, the prophet was about to beat her but she seek refuge to God. She is not "halal" for him but he was trying to pat her. Can you see this hypocrisy?

Humanity is but one family. icon_smile.gif

kenmirzz: Most people do not realise the additional information that is available in the Hadiths. Unfortunately it is not as easy to locate as in the Koran and I have yet to find a good Index for all the Hadiths. I have this one for the Bukhari:

http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/en...hadith/bukhari/

And it takes time to study all of the Hadiths, like Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu-Dawud, and Malik;s Muwatta.

Well Mr. Naipaul,

Swaying away from Iranian and Indian history for a while and look at Srivijaya locally. I say that it was Buddhism rather than Hinduism. Other than the lingham stone in Angkor, few image of Ganesh here and there and plenty of images of Jinns everywhere, the foundation were basically Buddhism. Futhermore Srivijaya started around 200BC ~ 100AD where clearly the power in India and Sri Langka was clearly of Asoka/Diodottus the great. They were the Great Buddhist Kings ruling India at the time.

Hinduism spread into SEA after the Hindu Chola assumed power in India....and attacked Srivijaya in 1150 AD.....and ended the Buddhism Influence of SriVijaya.... and paved ways for the rise of Hindu Kingdom of Majapahit.

From this reference it was Buddhism first and Hinduism came after that....and then Arabs, Persians and Muslim Indian traders brought Islam here..... Some say Islam also came from the "Sung" /"Tang" Chinese.

Same scenario in India. It was Jainism with the Mauryas, then Buddhism with Asoka and his sons, then the Hindu Chola etc. and then Islam with the various Delhi Sultanate...and of course the Islamic reverted Mongols.... and lastly by the Secular Trading company that pretended to be Christian.

Well Mr. Radzi,

You need to correct yourself two things here:

1. Address your response to the correct person.
2. Please get your reference from elsewhere probably because it has been swayed from the reality. Like the Malaysian history books; those days the book states that Parameswara founded Melaka and then they don't feel comfortable with it and rewrite the history. Unfathomable!

How do Bumiputras learn about Islam and how advanced is this knowledge. What are the minimum qualifications required to be an Islamic teacher or an Imam? Can anyone show me the curriculum?

dinez, I do not understand what you meant by the above statement. I understood what Logic meant.
dinez74
If he was mentioning that Hinduism has been in Malaysia before Islam is correct, that means I took it the other way. My mistake then.
My apologize to Logic.

dinez, if people do not state cleartly what they mean on blogs, it is so easy to be misread. The interesting point is, why and how did the change come about?

I read somewhere that it was because at that time, Muslims become the predominant traders in Spices and other products, and that it became obvious that Muslim trader would prefer to trade with other Muslim traders, and that is why the conversion took place. It developed from commercial and personal interests and the slow induction of Islam through trading preferences. But it must also come from the Sultans who must have set a precedence. Anyone have more information of who all of the Indonesian changed to Islam?
