Japanese-Peruvians still angry over wartime internment in U.S. camps
http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20090916f2.html

As Peruvians of Japanese descent observe the 110th anniversary of their parents' or grandparents' immigration to the South American country this year, some do not hide their anger at World War II that forced them to live in an internment camp in the United States.

But why do the Japanese get p!ssed when Chinese and Koreans get angry at Japanese Prime Ministers still visiting the Yasukuni Shrine ? Why do the Japanese get annoyed when Chinese and Koreans mention the Japanese War crime inflicted on their countries ?

What does one have to do with the other?

they've been apologized to plenty of times and given $1.6 billion in reparations. what more do they want?

also, i wonder if they'd ease up if they spent some time learning about the crimes against innocent civilians that occurred in other countries during WW2. the US internment camps were nothing compared to what happened with auschwitz, nanking, unit 731, ect.

WW2 was a fu-ked up and insane time for everyone in the world. no one was safe. imo, those japanese-americans should feel fortunate that they didn't experience the worst of it.
