A lot of Guyanese people are of Indian descent. The British brought with them Indians as indentured labourers to work at sugar plantions to a lot of the countries in Caribbean and South Africa, so you find a huge ammount of people of Indian descent in those areas.

Does Guyana have an indigenous population? I think Indians from Guyana and Trinidad are heavily mixed. Her name is definitely Indian.
