Why do you Khmer call your government the "Royal Government of Cambodia"?

I thought Cambodia was under the communist regime at one time.

Its the "Royal Kingdom of Cambodia" or Preah Reacheanachak Kampuchea because its now a Constitutional Monarchy. Norodom Sihanouk was reinstated as the King in the 1990s. Khmer Rouge no longer in power for decades already, hello.

Well... The Khmer government is officially called "Reach Rothapibal Kampuchea" which means "Royal Government of Cambodia". So yeah... you're right!
