i saw japanese medical help teams, any reason why australia?
Any reason why u ask such a stoopid question???
To topic starter... Ever heard of Humanitarian Aid...? 
It is an international norm and good conduct of diplomatic relations in the name of humanity to help other fellow human beings in distress.
And first of all Indonesian govt didn't ask or cry for help for International support. It was Australian, USA, Japan and Singapore out of their solidarity and humanity that offered their help, and we graciously accept it.
I smell flame bait in this thread....

Anyway I am glad that SurfAid was there on the ground to help right from the start.
The team has a genuine interest in fostering good relations between our cultures that goes beyond the commercial aspects of the surf industry.
