People hardly ever reveal their gender in their profiles and there are certain times I wonder for some reason........ Do you think you can tell the difference based on writings and posts (apart from really obvious ones where they practically say so) if they're a female or male? How...???

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it's more common for girls on da intanet 2 rite like dis than it is for guys? But on AF and quite a few other forums, it's hard to tell since almost everyone's always trying to write properly, whether male or female.

sometime you can by their "way of posting"... female tends to post nicer, less pervert, and provide more info, advice etc...

dude tends to flirt around, having fun, easy-going to mature-serious post or whatever..

there's few who have fake gender in profile *hint* veryyy popular members in here

For once I have to admit this would be an accurate indicator for me on this forum, but there are other forums where that sort of profiling would have seriously mislead the readers about me.

Usually I can get a sense of poster's gender after a series of posts, but sometime age can distort the image too. Years ago, there was a clearer distinction to the writing styles, and especially the topics that women participated in on the internet, but over the past decade or two the gender lines are finally blurring.

Well, I agree. And girls tend to say something as happy as themselves, while boys try to say something as happy as what they want.

I used to agree with that until I saw a number of girl fights in this forum.

that's so true cause girls tend to be more sensitive and care more what others think... so they'll tend to be considerate and explain more... not to mention they're more open-minded.

Now that I think about it, lots of guys on YouTube write like that too. I was probably thinking of Facebook, where I see it a lot more from girls.

what i noticed and observed so far.. um...more girls tend to disguise as male on internet, but very little guys disguised as female.

but in rl, there's more male pretending to be female than female to male ratio... i wonder what's the cause of this????

there's no girls in the internet. right?

The only girls that exist on the internet are in porn.
