Do tell us some of these unique features, please. Are they different from the people in Hongkong? Penang? Kuala Lumpur? Bangka? London Soho? New York or SanFranscisco China Town? They all look alike, don't they?
Well, people must think there is a trick to my request.
(1) I think that "Singlish" in Singapore is unique. Go anywhere in the world and listen in any Chinese or Indonesian restaurant, and when a group of Singaporeans are dining out, their speech is Unique and different from that of the HongKong, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinaborn, American born, English born Chinese speaking English. Well, spoken it can be quite charming and very attractive provide they are grammatically correct, interspersed with Chinese or Malay words.
(2) I also am of the opinion that the Singaporean personality is quite unique. Again different from all those listed above. They behave differently and they react differently. A topic that can be discussed further.
