I'm being threatened to be arranged married to girls like that. I've been hinted that there has been interest among the families. I hope mine and her mutual refusal can make short work of not allowing that to happen. I'm still young and somewhat free, much self improvement is still needed before I move onto such things. Not only do I blame the culture, I also blame the American media. I've seen two very snobbish hmong girls from rhode island. Them b!tches acted like they were above everyone. Their standards were ridiculously high. It was quite annoying. I feel sorry for the guys who tried to talk to them. I just ignored them b!tches.

I'm not a mother yet but I hear a lot of women saying the same thing educated or not. I think it's something maybe only mothers can understand. If he's really abusive and threatens to kill you then I wouldn't understand why she still sticks around with him.

Whoah! I had those same thoughts. Usually its from ppl like me, but this is interesting because its from a guy's point of view.
I always held the view, I don't want to be like a princess sitting pretty in my castle waiting for my prince charming to save me...I go like, heck with it, I'm not waiting for anyone, I'll go kick some butts right now and save myself instead.

I see too many women, ex. my mother, who puts up with so many years of abuse. She's illiterate and dependent upon my father. She never divorces because of me and my siblings and I understand that but.... She's an old granny now with a bitter nasty personality. I will never be like her! She's always like, let your father do it, he's the man of the house, women don't touch those kind of things. I'm just like, mom, you can do it too! Mowing a lawn doesn't require you to be a male. I do not like women who are dependent upon their man. What a disgrace.

Yeah those are pretty ghetto Hmong people. I remember Ties mentioned he was never around the community much so I never thought he was around those types of gals. I think in a university setting you will find those smarter women you are looking for. A good number may come off as stuck up though. They probably feel the same way about alot of Hmong guys too. I noticed alot of independant girls become hopeless romantics later on. And some are just hopeless lol, they are proudly independent but they get emo and like to swing around.

I hate how my step-mom makes us girls do EVERYTHING at home, and the boys don't even have to lift up a finger. I believe men and women can do all sorts of the same chores but some chores are more suitable for some sex. Men tend to be stronger, so it would make more sense if he carries the furniture in and out of the house, takes out the trash at night when there might be some creep out there waiting to do nasty to you and stuff...

So, I do think some chores are better carried out by men and some better carried out by women. However, that doesn't mean men can't ever touch dishes and women can't ever push a lawn mower or that this chore belongs exclusively to you and not me.
