NANNING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang and Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh pledged Monday to strengthen economic exchanges and deepen the strategic relationship between the two nations.

They made the remarks during their meeting in Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, ahead of the 6th China-ASEAN Expo to be held from Oct. 20 to 24.

Li Keqiang said China and Laos enjoyed good-neighborliness with mutual political trust, deep economic cooperation and mutual support in terms of international and regional affairs.

China is willing to consolidate friendship with Laos and expand cooperation on such areas as agriculture, mining and infrastructure, Li said, adding China will seek new channels of cooperation for mutual benefits.

Bouasone hailed the achievements China has made in the process of modernization, noting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Laos and China is conducive to the reform and opening up of both sides.

Laos is willing to continue high-level visits, step up economic ties with China, and lift the relationship to a higher level, Bouasone said.

I think Zhuang people will realized that they have there cousin in South East Asia and also it is a good for China to build a strong bond with Laos since we are not a threat to china and the people. We are one and should respect both side of the country governing state. And I think there's been a lot of high official meeting between Beijing and Vientiane in the region and also the people. I hope all of our ancestor and other Tai-kadai speaking people will one day work together and build everything to modernized both country in a more vast effective ways and understanding for both the people in the future! And for some of you chinese, It is very foreign and unknown about how the Chinese or Han can work with the Laotian. But lets just say we can work together just fine, but you just got to loosen up that racist and discrimination problems mind that most Han have. I know there's alot of chinese Han married to a Laotian in Canada which was interesting and nothing much of a taught to me. Let's both Beijing and WiangCheun"Vientiane" work together to get rid of those Vietnamese small pencil d!ck out of Laos and also those Siamese from Thailand to stop claiming Lao are the same are Siam. Right, working together. *cackles*

The Chinese's Thai Lao Autonomous Region.

They already have Yunnan and Guangxi so why not Thai and Lao lands.

In all fairness to the Chinese, they are not the only racist ones. We have to admit that there are many Lao, Thai, and Khmer people who are racist towards the Chinese.

If you want the Chinese to be less racist, then I think it's only fair that SEA countries should also return that same courtesy.

I think Thailand is another stories. But let's focus on Laos since it is in the middle of everyone else in the mainland South East Asia. And also get rid of those Vietnamese for the sake of the Laotian people and the new Laotian in the future. beerchug.gif

There will always be some racist problems in every country. But why not reduce it and be more of an open minded people in the region to build prosperity in both side. I think china is doing the right thing and at least they are now showing other South East Asian they can work with them in the future. China is the super power, but they also have a pros and a cons when they are solving diplomatic mission in SouthEast Asia. But anyways! let's just focus on Laos and China future relationship since both country are working very hard on both side. beerchug.gif

Jek are well known as the culture destroyer.

Not all are like that and it depend on the region they come from too. And I know for the Fact that those speaking Cantonese are likely to be racist and Bias about culture they live in and also look down on other people that isn't like them.

And for the best example it would be Thailand.

Northern peoples will always rule southern peoples.

History of East Asia:

Mongol conquer China, Chinese flee south
China conquer Vietnam, Viet flee south
Viet conquer Khmer, Khmer flee south
Khmer conquer Aboriginal, Aboriginal flee south

Aboriginal live in south until European conquer everybody. Now aboriginal is endangered icon_sad.gif

North Vietnam also conquered South Vietnam.
