Peoria police are searching for a man they say ran down his 20-year-old daughter in a parking lot for becoming “too 'westernized’ and ... not living according to their traditional Iraq values.”
Noor Faleh Almaleki of Surprise was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. Another woman, Amal Edan Khalaf, 43, of Surprise also was struck and is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon in the Department of Economic Security parking lot at 8990 W. Peoria Ave.
Peoria police and fire personnel responded to a car-pedestrian collision at 2:05 p.m. Upon arriving, they found both victims had been run down by the suspect, who was driving a gray or silver 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, officials said.
After hitting the victims, the suspect fled the scene going west on Peoria Avenue. The victims were taken to a Valley trauma center.
Detectives from the Peoria Police Violent Crimes Unit, after talking with family and friends, learned Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, of Glendale was the driver and is Noor Faleh Almaleki’s father.
The Arizona license on his vehicle is ADS-9192, police said.
If anyone has information on this case or knows where police can find Faleh Hassan Almaleki, they are asked to call Silent Witness or the Peoria Police Tip Line at 623-773-7045

He has posted articles in the past about Muslims in Indonesia, Malaysia etc.... in the past. Hence it seems to indicate he has issues with Muslims. I see no evidence that he hates all Arabs and Middle Easterners.

And it isn't like these sort of things don't happen, The Talibans for example are forcing girls in Pakistan to not to go to school, while forcing men to not to shave.

Because both are willing to restrict another person's civil rights due to their believes(Religious, or cultural).
And no, Islam has nothing to do with it, it is those who would undermine others freedoms, in the name of Islam, or any other religion, I have problems with.
