I don't like it. I don't how I'm supposed to feel. Like I can't stare cause that's rude, but looking down on purpose gives off the impression of me being uncomfortable.
a lot of mothers do that here in the philippines in public areas...
it should be done in private... i always hate it that when i see mom's breastfeeding in public, i'm the one who feels ashamed and embarrassed..
not talkin about homeless families...

As a mother I still think we should cover our breasts while doing it with a light baby blanket.
I hated it when I was trying to feed my little darling and the nurses stressed me out and grabbed my breasts like it was ok for them to know all my business.They deserve privacy and should try to cover up if they can a little but it's no ones business, they need to feed their baby.
I just could'nt do it with everyone waching!

They should. It's a natural process. It kinda shows you how prudish we have become.

Breast feeding in public is fine as long as I'm the one being fed
Seriously, the on-looker sees a mother feeding her child ...
It is embarassing for the on-looker and the woman feeding her baby ...
especially if there is staring or the on-looker knows the woman.
A light blanket to cover up would do wonders to reduce this embarassment.
When I was in China (1993), there was many pretty women breast feeding in public.
How do you not stare at such a beautiful sight????

It should be perfectly fine. Shame on the dolt with the staring problem. There's no need to look. What's so difficult about minding one's own business when the woman/baby isn't doing anything to you?
